Yes! I was just coming here to comment on that. It almost looks like the stuff you put in the bottom of drawers, to not have stuff roll around - that would be pretty easy to add to any cart - I may have to carry some around in my car for trips 😊
My local antique mall!!! I'm so excited you stopped there. I haven't been able to bring myself to go since my mom has passed, and that was our favorite place to go together. I think after seeing this video, it's time to go again.

That's darling Laurel & Andrew playing & her saying "Mommy" "Mommy" & she can say no good. My daughter is deaf & all her deaf life she says "No" & says it well & I tell her to say no & it's so cute even at her age that everyone loves hearing her say it !!! I like that antique store very much just wish that we had nice ones like that here where we live !!!! Enjoyed it. ❤️🙂

Signed or not, the Raku, providing that it was quality, at 25, would still have pulled down 60. I sold an unmarked piece that was only 3 inches tall for 25 and a matching 10 inch for 89. Unless it feels clunky, that's a professional term, never discount Raku or Crystallin glazed pottery.
Carved wood pieces as was found, is known as treen ware. The English and European pieces are more refined than those from the Philippines.

I just recently found an amethyst bird the other day with a polished bitten and it’s not signed. I didn’t mind because I just love amethyst glass. Plus I found a big glass paperweight that is signed and very pretty!
I noticed the snow owl with spread wings. Beautiful.
Saw such beautiful glass at an Art Nouveau exhibit in St. Augustine Florida. You certainly have trained my eye to look at glass now 😊

When I was a kid, mumbley mumbley years ago (way before even Andrew was born) my father found a pretty sizeable collection of the 1930s Nancy Drew books for me. I have to say, having read a few original Nancy Drew books, my 1930s ones and the 1960s that were contemporary at that time of my childhood. And much later with a 1980s I think there were a lot of changes. Specifically The Secret of Shadow Ranch (because I wasn't going to be bothered to read a bunch of ND books anymore at that point) I have to say that the quality of the story was progressively lost. I realize there are things about the earlier stories (using exaggerated accents for certain people and lack of persons of color) that probably wouldn't stand up to today's children and their parents' expectations, but the PLOTS were better!
Since white people where the majority of the population in this country back then , it would make sense that those books had only white characters in them. There may not have been any people of color in the area where the writer lived then.

I love that the kids go sourcing with you. They are learning so much and they enjoy it. I wish that I would've started reselling when my kids were younger. I think they would appreciate the value and use of things that are older or used. Society today is so wasteful on so many levels. Kudo's to you andrew for teaching them.
I was just in Wildwood a couple weeks ago! I went to Traditions Antique Mall and a couple of the thrift shops. I'll need to check out this antique mall next time.

Hi Jocelyn! I love when you bring the family along to do your shopping! Your daughter might be interested in the Cam Jansen Mysteries (young girl detective series) once she’s done with the Nancy Drews. My daughter used to love reading a variety of books in her younger years and that was one of the series she read.

@@onlyluvisreal6691 I've seen them anywhere between $25 and $50. I found my first one a few weeks ago while thrifting. The back of the ear was slightly chipped so I kept it for myself. I've been looking at them on eBay and other sites because I would really like another one for myself, but just can't justify it when I could find another "in the wild"! (Which we know is much more satisfying!)
@@onlyluvisreal6691 mine only sold for $12, but if I had the kind of following that Jocelyn has, it would have sold for much, much more. I only paid $1.25 for it at Goodwill, so it was not such a bad hit to take. It should have sold for at least $25 in my mind.
Worth varies - each one is different. I have sold some at 80 and others at 20. Just depends on how many are up for sale at the moment and how bad someone else wants that one for their collection
I think our prices on resale items here in Florida are a bit steep. What do you think? Probably why I buy two suitcases full whenever I go out of the state or out of the country LOL

Ummmm on the Nancy Drew books: I love that Juliette loves Nancy Drew books! While I certainly "get" that she was soooo lucky to have been gifted a whole box of them; in my opinion, one can (arguably) NEVER have too many Nancy Drew books! 🤣🤣🤣 I LOVED them! I think throughout my childhood I ended up with ALL of them from 1 up to somewhere in the 40s. For those of you unfamiliar, they were numbered on the binding. No clue how many they're up to now. It's nice to see young girls still enjoy them after all these many years. 👍🫶

They have the ability to look items up before they price them too. It shouldn’t be her research that surprises them. Either you do your homework as a booth owner or you take your chances. Chances are, if CLL shops your booth, she’ll recognize an “uh oh”.
@@mamaG4and booth owners also probably know their local customers and what they're willing to pay. They aren't always willing to pay eBay prices.

The US dealers do seem to prefer cats over dogs. Maybe cats are the no 1 pet over there whereas in the UK we love our dogs?
