Hey Shaun that pizza looked good but yeah we have some great tasting pizza in the states, I'm from Edinburg, TX hope to go to Scotland some day & try Scottish foods keep showing us ur country it's wonderful...
Wow Shaun! I honestly can't find one word to describe that jaw-dropping sunset I just saw. Thank you for sharing this, sunsets are my 'thing'. As for not having much to vlog about, you could film a sunset every day & I'd watch. You live in a magnificent part of the world & I'm looking forward to getting there when I can. Much Love to you & Tekka, and enjoy the weather!
Man, what a beautiful country!! Although I have a request: Is it possible to interview or interact with people who also speak proper Scots. One of the main reasons I enjoy your videos is to hear Scots. I think one of the reasons why the "Easy Language" channels do so well is that they have fast, everyday conversations in a particular language mostly with people on the street, and these conversations change endlessly yet are mesmerizing and become addictive--in a good way. I am thinking videos (or parts thereof) focusing on Scottish everyday situations, especially banter. People are the culture, the treasure. Though I wonder since you are immersed in the Scottish culture that it might not seem exotic to you; however to me, it is fun and memorable just even hearing you talk and react to things. More power to you, man.
Ahhhhhh Shaun. I needed a dose of Scotland today, thank you so much. Portobello beach looks beautiful ... it makes me want to come and open up a rolled ice cream shoppe!!! LOL That's the biggest slice I've ever seen !!!! I thought NY pizza was big, wow!! But that $1.00 NY Pizza IS amazing! LOL I knew the sunset would be "bangin" and it didn't disappoint!! The paddle boarder's had the best view, but yours was SWEET! Thank you for sharing this vlog, it was just lovely and so soothing/peaceful. Sending much respect from the "Highlands" of the US in the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia (just a short drive from where you were in North Carolina). Blessings to you and Tekka!!! XoXo ~ Jan

IT is so nice seeing people out and about. I couldn't judge the best pizza I've ever had because I like so many different kinds but I was a teenager (in the early 70s) before I knew that you could get pizza in a restaurant. My mother always made it at home from scratch.
Really enjoyed the sunset, Sean. I have to say that it's one of my dreams to go to Scotland & experience that really late sunset that you all get in the summertime. Here in the suburbs of Chicago IL USA, the sun is set & it's dark by around 9:15 pm. I love that twilight time.
Hi Shaun, there are different places here in Edinburgh where you can eat better pizzas than that one 😁 Civerinos has just a good location 😇 I love Portobello beach! Anyway, I saw you once crossing a street and I was like "wow, this is Shaun" 😎
Anytime I go to the beach (either the Space Coast or Daytona in Florida) the last thing I think about eating for a snack is pizza...it's seafood all the way!
One of the best pizzas I've had was out of the back of a pizza truck at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in summer 2015. And I'm from New York! But as a pizza aficionado who built his own wood-fired brick oven in his backyard, I can tell you you can have lots of great tasting pizza that can be great in their own ways because they are different styles and tastes. I love NY Style Pizza, Sicilian pizza, Detroit Style, Grandma Style, real Italian Napolitan/Neopolitan pizza, and Roman Al Taglio Style pizzas to name but a few and all are great in their own ways.
This video makes my heart ache to go back to a place I've never been... long have i yearned to be in Scotland. ❤ thank you for the beautiful agony, it is truly appreciated.
Wow, what a magnificent sunset! Thanks for sharing your part of the world. I'm fascinated with all things Scottish and hope to visit someday. If you're ever in North Texas let me know and I'll show you around!
If you ever get to Australia especially Melbourne we have great pizza here too, Lygon Street Carlton is the place to go. Enjoy your vlogs especially the beautiful sunset photos.
We had a wonderful visit to Edinburgh in August. Fell in love with portobello beach ⛱ enjoyed our crepes for breakfast. Great time. The pizza looked yummy too.
I live on the west side of Michigan on the coast of Lake Michigan. I live in a very small town and we have multiple pizza shops. They are all fabulous. Just depends on what type we want that day. The best thing about pizza is there is a type for every taste ! It's always hard to pick the best. Great video!
WoW!, that slice of pie is massive. Thank you for this Shaun. I really enjoy when you are out in about around town - I get to pretend like I'm there too.
My mom was from Edinburgh My aunt came to the USA in the 1970's she had NO clue what Pizza was. Got pizza from Happy joe's and she just about died seeing the SIZE! Great memories and good to see Scotland NOW enjoys Pizza!
Spectacular sunset. I lived in NYC for a number of years, and the pizza was good. My favorite was the pizza stand in the South (Staten Island) Ferry Terminal at the tip of Manhattan.
Soooo...what is going on to the pepperoni to cheese ratio!?! My first ever job was at a take and bake pizza place and the pepperonies had to be sloghtly overlapping to cover the top!! Now that can create too much oil, but at least have them spaced so each bite has a pepperoni slice!!! Lolol i cannot wait to visit Scotland!!!! Hopefully next Spring!! Thank you for all your vlogs!! They have helped me plan my trip!! #coloradonative #usa

I love Portabello. I was there a last month but it was jumping when all the warm weather we had at the end of July early August. Couldn't get near that pizza place but it looks so good. Need to come back soon when it's not as busy and try bros bagels.
We have a pizza place in Utah called Slab. They have a bunch of different yummy flavors and it’s bought by the “slab” which is literally just 1/4 of a pizza. So good
That was like 3 pieces of pizza uncut lol gotta love food I like the pizza with cheese crust built in I mean why didn’t they create that years ago it’s too good lol 😂
So, Scotland has a beach named after a mushroom? Might have to go to Scotland for the beach and pizza. Forget the scotch and haggis. No, definetly cannot forget the scotch.
Thanks for checking this place. Its ok-ish. I ate better one in florida. Anyway im happy that Portobello became much better and much social place. More bars, restaurants. That’s supposed to look beach side of Edinburgh
Hi Shaun. Do ya'll have Pizza Hut? It remains my fav pizza. Hot...fresh...great crust and cheese....yum! Beautiful sunset! Thanks for sharing...God bless!

There are many equally great pizza places in NY. Jersey is also really good for pizza. Think of it like NJ and NY are sharing recipes. Times Square is expensive but there is a pretty good pizza place there. Can't remember what it's called though.
Wait until after Covid. We may be “open,” but you still can’t get a good experience right now because we take the virus very seriously and aren’t open like other states are. My mom lives in SW VA and says people just run around without masks on and most aren’t vaccinated. I had to laugh because most of us ARE vaccinated and we all still wear masks. You aren’t getting into most places without it, and you can’t dine in without being vaccinated either. Covid is a mess. I’ll be so glad when it’s over…eventually. 😩
@@EmKnowsThings yeah no plans to come any time soon for sure. Your mom is right. So many here won't take this seriously. It drives me crazy.
