Yeah. Some people are like: Egotistic Pro: Hey, look at me! *Plays the whole song at normal speed, if not a little faster, showing off how good they are* Egotistic Pro: That's how you play it! Tutorials like that aren't very good, but this one is really good. Sometimes, people use complicated terms that non-pro piano players like me don't understand. This one was really straightforward and informative.
Absolutely antastic instructional video, thankyou. I know the notes and a lot of chords on the piano and can read notes on a stave but can't sight read so I'd have to notate it myself, but with this tutorial you've done it for me and I've just written down the notes that you've said. Now I need to get practicing 😁 🖐🎹🤚
Yay, someone makes an ACTUAL tutorial that helps! I'm literally just starting out and wanted to jump into the deep end (naturally '-_-), so I wanted to start with my dad's favourite song! Thanks for this! *BOOM* Quality Content ya got there! :D
this amazingly helpful thank you. i'll be transcribing it this weekend and adding in the vocal line.. i adore this song and its really helpful to keep me on pitch while im going by ear to write the vocal
I must say, for whatever reason it was hard to find your tutorial even after typing in the word piano. I must also say this is definately the best tutorial I have come across for me anyhow as I am a visual and auditory learner and well as a beginner...i am definitely subscribing to your channel
+Matthew Carlon glad you found it eventually and thanks for the kind words! Hopefully the more good comments and likes etc that the video gets, the higher RUclips will rank it in search results.
Thank you so much! It can be difficult to find songs without the melody so I was so happy to come across this! Your explanations and detail is fantastic and you deliver it at a lovely pace!
This is awesome. Thank you. You are patient and an exceptional teacher. I so wish you had provided the sheet music which would make it so much easier to practice
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Sorry for the lack of sheets... this was early on for my channel... I didn't get into the habit of transcribing to sheet music until a few months later. If I ever revisit this piece, I'll re-comment here.
Once again...great tutorial! Would you happen to have sheet music that matches what you play? I keep having to watch your amazing tutorial but it is taking forever! 🙂
+Gregory Gicewicz I started doing sheet music more recently and put it on my Patreon page (patreon.com/escapetheboxpiano). I'll try to find time to revisit this one, then update the video description. Watch this space...
Thank you so very much for this well explained video/demo tutorial !! Do you have complete sheet music available for purchase? Price and how to buy it. Thank you again 🙂🙂
Hi Denny, I'm using a full 88-note stage piano. If you have a 61-note keyboard, it likely extends two octaves below middle C and three octaves above. My tutorial goes lower than this in the bass. You could either play everything an octave higher, though if your keyboard has the function, I'd recommend that you transpose down an octave (-12 semitones). Then, in the sections where the right hand is playing in octaves, just take out the higher note and it'll still sound good. Hope that helps!
Finally someone that explains instead of just playing the song!!!! 💕♥️

Did you ever add the sheet music to your Patreon page?
Actually, yes, I did transcribe this and have it available in my library. Feel free to drop me a message on Facebook or Twitter.
Sick tutorial!

Can you make a version with vocal melody
If I ever revisit this awesome piece, that's something I might just do :) I'll keep it on my list.
Hi,this may be dumb to you but,This is 1st song Im learning, what # of keys do I need to play properly?octaves, etc.are you using a 61 key keyboard?

Why did you put disturbed guy in thumbnail, if it’s the Simon and Garfunkel version
This isn't Simon and Garfunkel's original. It's the piano part from Disturbed's cover version.
It’s disturbed version
Are there any sheet music for This
Sorry, this was one of my very early tutorials before I started notating the pieces I learnt. Maybe one day I’ll revisit this and make the sheets!
Right
Right
Anyways you can make a cover for a video?
I might be able to help you Mayra. Send me a message to discuss what you want.
i only learned the first part lol XD
Great work - hope you got a good result?! Now get stuck into the rest ;)
No
well. i watched 2 min of this 20min. I can conclude, that 18min can me excluded.
boring....F sharp, then B and G sharp and then........
Good teacher! Names Each Chord or keynotes by LETTERS 🔤🔠 with out rushing the steps!
I’m glad my version works for you 🙂
