Absolutely! You can design furniture or any custom built-ins in SketchUp and bring it in layout to add details

hi, new to layout. I am using layout for drawings. but the dimensioning tool is not accurate. Is there any setting that I missed?
Do we have to add dimensions manually for all elevations?

That was a required class when I was first starting in college but you don’t necessarily have to be good at it. Like Elyda had mentioned, you learn and develop so many new skills!
If you take admission in this course you will be good in drawing trust me on this..
If by art you mean these types of drawings? Yes. These drawings are key to conveying your design ideas across. You will learn how to do them in school. A lot of schools do require a portfolio as well so it would help to develop that. Your portfolio can be any medium you like; paintings, drawings, photos, a mix, etc. It will show your thinking and creativity.
Hi, I've hidden the sections on my sketch up file but it still shows on layout. Can you be able to kindly reply on how to fix this? It makes the work unclear.

When i duplicate a page whatever i change on the first one it updates the second, how do i make the second page unique?
I haven’t come across that issue but you may want to change the scenes on the second sheet
@@SandraJessicaChavez The scenes change but the color with them too, I was looking somehow to change the color of the model in different scenes but it changes in all of them, if somehow i could lock the color in one scene so i would not change in the other, any way I'll find a way, thank you
Hi! I am a student and I am interested in interior designer but my question is that my sis told me that to become an interior designer you have to first become an architecture is that true......
Please can you answer this question it would be a big I have been asking this question to many RUclipsrs but no one replied 😭
Agreeing with Advin's comment! You do not need to become an architect to become a designer. You'll learn a bit of architecture in school =)

Why not create your elevations in CAD?
Autocad is too pricey for me to buy so that’s why I use SketchUp layout!
Please teach slowly so that every new beginner can easily understand the commands you are using thank you
