Hi, I'm 16 and I have a small team of my friends and we are building a horror game. Our team consists of 4 members, 2 are programmers including me and 1 is an artist and 1 is a story writer. School studies are coming in our way, but we are trying our best to not let anything stop us. Anyways, best of luck!
You gained a sub for all the honesty. Thanks a lot for this video . I'm in a similar position myself, I have a small son, trying to start my gamedev studio and have been through almost the same youtube experience. It wasn't until I admitted that it was really my mistakes that were holding my channel that I could finally grow. I finally got 1.4k subs in less than a month, really, and keep on growing. You gave great advice and I hope we all make it there!
Hey! Just wanted to let you know this video really inspired me. As someone who is also trying both YT and gamedev this gives me hope that I can succeed to! Keep up the good work🙏
Its great to see we are not alone in bringing our game dev dreams to life! Keep posting, keep developing, and I cant wait to see what comes next in your journey.
Wanted to let you know that the link in the description of this video for the asset store just links to the top downloaded assets page, rather than your specific page - would love an updated link if possible to be able to show some support! Thank you for sharing your story and hard work 🙏
Acknowledging steps that are beyond your reach for the moment and shifting to steps that are more actionable has been a huge game changer for me as well. "Make a successful indie studio" is not something most people have the skill to do. "Make game jam game and release a video about it" is a lot more actionable and will build the skills needed to tackle the more overwhelming steps in the future.
Also making sure those steps are something you can enjoy is a really important element. A mindset of "Let me just grind out the boring part so I can get to the fun part" often will not have the longevity needed to get to the end. You need to find a way to enjoy the steps to get to the harder part. Either by focusing on the parts you enjoy or finding a different mindset for the parts you do not. Or both. I think this particularly important in creative pursuits like game dev.
If you knew how deep the water was, you'd have been too scared to take the dive. Glad you are learning it takes more than code to make a game. If you desire someone to keep you organized let me know. I love that sort of thing.
Brother I am 17 years old and I have already been in game development for 3 years now I am serious and I want to learn game design but I don't have any money and what do you think about game development in India how to get a first job.😶🌫

Keep it up bro! ☺️👍
Thank you so much! I saw you got monetized, that's fantastic!
Thanks man! I will try my best!
@@SoulEngineDev yeah, although the income for a small channel is very small. Every penny counts for acquiring game assets for my game. 😅
Keep jamming buddy, congratulation on the journey!
Thanks man!
Earned another sub from me for sure. Love this story, and you guys are on the up and up. Keep going, keep making games
Thank you! The support is definitely appreciated!

@2:50 is so relatable... Lmao
"Experience breads opportunity. Small things build up." A strangely hard lesson to learn. But an important one.
It is tough, because it's not an instant realization many times. But like you said, it's still important.
How do you find people to join your studio?
I'm doing a video about this on Friday!
I subscribed.
Let’s gooo! Thank you so much!!

Why is it called soul engine if it's made with unity engine?
Because its studio name not an engine
I'm one of those early subs
Haha so glad you’re here!
Get a paternity test
If your referring to the timeline of events, I did realize I made few mistakes there haha
