I hope that players realise that Kent is a biased narrator when it comes to his relationship with Jodi. Its understandable that he needs a relationship that can give him what he needs, but its not a sin that Jodi doesn't know how to do that, or be able to put all her emotions aside whenever Kent blows up. This mod quite intricate - its clear that not all Kent's expectations are reasonable because he *starts* at a point where he's already unhappy, and when you want to leave you always see the worst in others. But I'm not sure everyone sees that between the lines. Its a relationship that fractured because they couldn't be what each other needed, not because either of them were bad people.

You know, I relate to Sam in this mod a bit, I’m only like 30 minutes in but, as a military Brat(child of parent/parents who fought in war or were in the army) with divorced parents who fell out of love and I have a younger brother around the age of Vincent. It’s pretty relatable to me, as well as the fact my father is remarried and loves roasted salted peanuts.

I just wanna say your voice acting reminds me of watching 4Kidz anime dubs in middle school. That is NOT an insult- the scripts might have been ass, but the voice talent they hired was top notch, and you so perfectly captured the sincerity of someone doing their best to make the worst script they've ever read sound epic. The nostalgia is overwhelming. I loved it.

I think the mod author had perhaps a little too much optimism in the players being able to read between the lines. We're hearing Kent's opinions and stepping into conflicts that he springs and surprises on her: he was unhappy with the relationship even before he got home and dealing with mental issues on top of it, so he's been taking the worst interpretation of Jodi's actions from the start. The dialogue in this mod is fantastic, but boy do they have faith in people being able to understand unspoken nuance.

The mod is very very good at writing a realistic breakdown of this marriage, and just like most breakups no one is actually at fault but we're being shown an inclination to favour our friend unless we actually stop and think about it logically rather than emotionally. It is a very good mod, written by someone who has very high expectations for the reading comprehension of the average internet-er. Just like my reply required reading comprehension.
