+Ravenielago z +1
Everyone does
+Ravenielago z OR - have you invented scrambled omelette? You're welcome.
+Ravenielago z Because its better!
you guys are just reminding me of my *failure(s)
Make sure to use that Metal fork on the teflon ladies and gents. I personally enjoy a wee bit of teflon into my omlet's, my naturopath told me it strengthens my immune system. I rarely get sick as a result.
he was just using it lightly. it's not like he was scraping the pan hard. it's absolutely fine.
I don’t ever remember laughing when buying free range eggs
cuz they weren't organic
hello 240p

SOUTHOFSTEVEN That comment made me laugh.
Hereticalable i don't know why but i just dont trust guys in british accents to cook food
"I got a pan, the right sized pan"
Thanks for clearing that up.
He stated the size though.
He clears more things up than any other TV chef You are not unsure about things with Jamie and remember he is teaching often people to get basic skills .. nice and slow so we get a good result
He guessed 7”, but he is off. I’d say that is a 10” pan.
Jamie everytime is a pleasure to watch your videos!!
For an amateur like me, who had never cooked something before this, this was perfect.
I made a small omelette like that for fun and holy crap. It was the best omelette I've ever eaten. I didn't know an omelette could be that tasty with just eggs and cheese.
Well…you dont put rice in an omelette. Omelette is with eggs.
@@leonardoiglesias2394 they said "just". Obviously there's eggs in there
This recipe is exactly for a minimum of products!
I love to make Spanish omelette and for that I have two non stick pans that can lock together for the purpose of tossing upside down and cooking both sides. Great fun! Spanish omelette is SO delicious! Eggs, diced par-boiled potato’s, and pre fried onion - all mixed into a 6 egg omelette. Delicious hot or cold.
This is best tutorial. I literally just did everything you did and made the perfect golden omelet with no brown in it. Its so beautiful and taste delicious!
Got to say, thanks Jimmy, because this really took my omlet to the level that i would never reach without a good lesson like this
Love your passion for food and cooking Jamie 💫⭐️🌟✨
I forgot how much I loved watching Jamie cook when I was a kid.
Jamie, you are a genius omelette maker. I just did it but added about a tablespoon of tinned evaporated milk to 2 eggs. It came PERFECT, following your fork manoeuvres which I think are essential to cooking the egg to just enough softness! Then added vegan cheddar cheese. I did not need to add salt and pepper and I used a normal stainless steel frying pan. If only there is a way to make a vegan omelette like this! Oh yes, I cooked half an onion until brown before cooking the omelette and then poured the egg mixture on top. I think the caramelized onion adds great flavour to that soft cheesy omelette. May God bless you and your family!
Jamie's forgotten that he's supposed to pretend he cares about how long the non-stick pan lasts.
After all these years I still come back to this receipt. Best ever!
Woohoo! So glad you like it dude!

I'm 49 and the first thing I learned to cook was an omelet, when I was about 9. I cooked them almost the same way you did, I taught myself to cook them (as well as eggy in a basket and many other dishes). Recent visit to the doctor showed high cholesterol. Do you have a recipe using just the eggs whites, no butter? Can you recommend a butter substitute? Butter, cheese and egg yolk is a no-go for me. Thanks!
Just separate your eggs, throw out the yolk, and cook pretty much as above. In some stores you can buy litres of egg whites (looks like a litre milk carton) and that works too, though the protein strings are broken so it doesn't behave quite like an egg white freshly separated. Takes a little getting used to but it works.
I don't use butter
Thanks Jamie, you know we love you and your cooking all over the world🙂
The first time i ever succeeded making an omelette. Never thought id see the day. Delicious. Thx.
"Some people put milk, and cream- I don't."
Daaamn, he's tryna' throw a curveball on someone.
😂😂
lool he thought he was badass after he said that lol
Ryetz hahah is he talking about a famous person? If yes I want to know who hahaa
I put milk and mine comes out amazing
I don't mind either way. Milk makes it more filling and you don't taste the eggs as much.
Jamie, all of your tips are amazing, i've started making omelette like you do, and it is delicous. Before that, i've been eating overcooked omelette, and to be honest, wasn't so good. Also, experimenting with the omelette, the ingredients, yummy. I've tried eggs mixed with coriander, grated cheese, grated white cheese feta, grated carrot, and lemon peels chopped. Also, that with bacon, goes boom,, most delicious meal i've ever tried, fluffy milky.....
What can i say but that i am an absolute fan of your shows on tv and never miss them. I love the practical approach and the fact that you show how not to waste food by creating interesting recipes from the left overs too...i try to do the same and teach my children to try it too...thank you!
Followed the instructions and just made my first ever cheese omelette.
It came out perfect and was tasty for sure.
I did add a little milk though 👍🏿 !
Seeing him scrape a metal fork against his non-stick pan makes my soul hurt
I screamed when he used the fork directly in the pan...
Haaaiiiyaaaaa
I have a scanpan from sur la table, I would never do that to my pan!!!!!
Ya great way to scratch the pan leaching out the toxins
That's not a crime when making an omelette, however the curd is not how I like it. Its slightly browned, a french omelette should just be pale and even, and shaped in a dome.
not to mention that big giant metal spatula.
this is truly the best and quickest and yummiest way, well done Jamie and thank you
Love that there is a place to see a Great chef work! Love Jamie Oliver.. Love love omelets!
Good job 😍
you love this guy vincenzo😂😂
This recipe is gold! Very simple and delicious! It's been helping me for years.
Delicious omlette Thank you Jamie
Finally! After years of fails! I watched your video, followed your directions and made my first perfect omelet!! Thank you 😋
Shame you can't spell!!
9 out of 10, Oliver! LOL
10 out of 10 would have been with Heinz tomato ketchup
I ALWAYS put salsa on my eggs, never fails.
@@underneonloneliness2, Emily from 4 levels.
I loik my omelettes simple. With just a dash salt and a lih-o peppah.
Poor brit's xD
hahahahahha
@dave 1 salty wee comment thur 🤣👌
dave 1 yes. As a salad course.
dave 1 oh, no. Never. But it WOULD make a nice starter, followed up by half a chicken. Or half a dozen Big Macs...
Seriously tho, omelette is strictly breakfast fare. With ham, and onions, and green peppers, mostly.
Tried. Delicious. Thank you!😊
Jamie, I’ve always been a huge fan of yours. It started when I watched the documentary about the Fifteen restaurants. I thought what you did was incredible. Anyway, these tutorials are so helpful, especially for light weights like me. Thirty years on and I’m still doing a rotation of mexican wraps, spaghetti bolognese, shepherds pie, pesto pasta/tuna pasta and Sunday roast for my family. In part because my husband ‘knows what he likes’. Oh... and scrabbled eggs. I’m going to break through that glass ceiling tomorrow and try an Omlette. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
my omelette always breaks when I fold it so I say fuck it! make a scrambled omelette
That usually comes from playing with it too much. Patience is the key
I usually just tilt the pan onto the plate and fold it with the pan. I find it a lot easier, try it out!.
+SomeNiceMovies thanks!
Oh Jamie, it's BEAUTFUL THANK YOU
I just had one exactly like this. Great work on school dinners. Essential and truly pro social. Nice one Jamie. Happy Christmas! 🎄🌟👍
I like the way you explane...❤
Fabulous tips and delicious omelette.
Just one thing. Shouldn't you be using a non-metal spatula or wooden? It ensures that no bits of coating will get into the food.
Besides wearing the pan out way before time. "Waste not, want not," said, my gran.
Love your recipes. Good job!
It's 2019 and I'm watching this recipe in 240p
2020 dude
2021 dudes
2022 guys
I love the way you cook very educational
Thanks for this!
The thing about omelettes are, even if you screw up you still got scrambled eggs. It's a win win. 😋😋
My soul died when he went into the pan with the fork!
I've only just seen this video and I'd just like to say thank you to Jamie as I made an omelette once and it was so terrible I gave up.. I've now just made the tastiest yumiest omelette ever so a big thank you Jamie.. Everyone else was more concerned about damaging the pan 😂.. I'm sure Jamie has plenty more.. And we can use whatever pan/utensils we like.. The video is about how to cook an omlette! I'm going to be making many many more now.
😋 😋 Thank you again!!
What a beautiful lovely omelette ,thank you so much.
Ohh man Thank You ;) I just learned how to make an omelette and made it great FIRST TIME!!! I added also a green onion and pieces of bacon!
I'm in love! :3....
..with the omlette of course
@Hello Lucian Gradinariu, How are you doing?
You are a god send Jamie. Without this video I wouldn't have a clue what to do.
I love the 4k quality in this video truly amazing
I like to add red capsicum, mushrooms and cheese to the inside of the omelette, then a touch of chives or spring onion and black pepper to finish the dish on a plate 🍳 Sometimes a side of a fresh tomato for the perfect breakfast or brunch.
One thing only - we’re told by the manufacturers not to use metal utensils with non-stick pans, as they can scratch the coating and release harmful chemicals to the food. I use a flat, plastic or silicone spatula
I guess you’re Australian
thank you! This is Game changing in my breakfast making levels. Went from over cooked crunchy eggs to prime soft and fluffy omelettes. Love the videos!
game changing ...???......
😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@mauriciodupuy408 if you ate the terrible eggs and breakfast items i made before, you would understand my excitement 😆
Will try it 😍
I really like your cooking. Beautiful
I was never a fan of my own omelettes until I followed your instructions. Thank you very much. My belly is full of deliciousness right now.
Are you bent
I swear Jamie Oliver has shares in olive oil. Lad puts it in everything
Mad olive lad
It'll be because it's one of the healthiest oils there is - even healthier if it's extra virgin olive oil. It would be bad for his image if he used lard 🤣
This was very helpful thank you 😊
My mum loved the omelette, thank you Jamie I am not going to lie I was never really a fan but you just gained my respect!
Whos here in 2021

Amazing Jamie
Making the mother of all omelettes here Jack, can’t fret over every egg
oh Jamie you forgot to add the turkey twizzlers
😂😂😂
The commentary throughout is awesome.
Made it now and I love it
You just taught me how to make myself a breakfast. Thank you very much.
Well done, Jamie Oliver! Your omelette technique is so good that it almost momentarily keeps us from being distracted by the willful deceptiveness of your Mockney accent.
Turned out lovely
The omelette, so simple yet so complex. Thanks Jamie!
Making the mother of all omelettes here, jack.
Making this omelette at 2 in the morn coz I’ve been watching recipes since 10
nailed it..thx Jamie
U are great oliver thx
I love how he just tossed the eggs on the floor after he cracked them
There's a bin on the side man
@Hello carlos espinal, How are you doing?
If you crack the eggs on a flat surface instead of the edge of the bowl there is hardly any chance of dropping any shell in the mixture. True story.

doing sumthin for many years doesnt always means that he doing it right. just saying ;)

***** Actually, there's a rule to pizza when it comes to the yeast itself. Now from the toppings, there's only imagination! That's the key to food...use your ideas! :P
Jamie! You are the cutest person in the world! You never disappoint anyone. I really like your dishes and I make them when I can! Thanks for the recipes!
I like that he doesn't give himself a full ten out of ten. A gracious display of true humility. Cheers!
Jamie, why are you using metal on a non-stick pan? Thanks for the video!
A good tip to get eggs out of shells: slam the eggs open like Howtobasic
omg please no
Just made this and it was spot on :)
Thanks for sharing this recipe 🌈
,,can you see it there?" - 240p :'(
To everyone talking about the metal in nonstick pan thing. This is Jamie Oliver so theres two things you have to realize.
1. Hes gonna be using some of the best nonstick pans on the planet so im sure they can handle that.
2. He can afford to do that because hes worth $200 million and can just go buy another everyday if he wants. Roughly $12,000 a year to replace a pan everyday lol
Stop the hate, coming on here and telling people you would do things differently WILL NOT make you a better chef, and does not make you automatically better than him. It will not make people go to your restaurant instead of his or will not make you more knowledgeable
Dez Adams PREACH!
On what planet is Jamie Oliver worth $400 million? Hahahaha
+Daniel George Smith he worths 200....

NO. Sorry. It doesn't matter what Jamie CAN do. He's _teaching people how to cook_. Which means he has a responsibility to show people _how to cook_, and that includes how to take care of your tools. And you don't do that with a nonstick pan by dragging metal across the surface, no matter how good a cook you are. (And a good cook does not have to be told not to do that.) Or how expensive the pan is - nonstick pans _by design_ are not able to handle metal dragging on their surfaces, whether it's an applied surface or ceramic.
Really, dude, if you're going to make pronouncements, you really should know something about the subject.
Thanks Jamie, gonna try that today for lunch!
Worked a treat. Just to start experimenting with fillings now. Many thanks
He’s using a fork and a steel spatula on a non-stick skillet.
Oh no!
yup, noticed that as well!
Bob Pulgino I just watched Jacques Pepin do the same thing!!
you would too if every time you made something you started with a new pan and didn't give a fiddly mcdiddly.
It's alright he's a pro chef. They can walk on water!
After years of messing my omelettes up, I just made my best ever omelette following this video, served with a side salad.
Good stuff, thanks Jamie!
A no-nonsense approach that’s aimed at the ordinary person. No fancy ingredients or techniques. It would be great if he did another basic cooking TV series, especially in these straightened times.
Title says perfect omelette, Jamie's own score after he Cooke's it 9/10......I WANT PERFECT lol
like how Jamie explains things, some chefs get way to complicated and try to hard, Jamie makes it simple
I did it and It’s amazing
Jamie Oliver- a living legend !
