    Mr. Andersen, I cannot thank you enough for sharing these brilliant lectures with us here on RUclips. I'm learning a lot from watching your videos. Keep up the good work.

    How is it that you explain in eight minutes what I was still fuzzy about after hours of lecture? You are truly an inspiration. I watch your videos all the time, simply to learn something new for the day. Thank you Mr. Anderson :D

    Thank you so much Mr. Andersen! Last year your videos helped me get a 100 in Biology, and with the help of your videos this year I have a 98 in Chemistry. I'm planning on taking AP Chem next year and am so thankful that I have this as a resource!

    Digital cameras. They capture a photograph using the light and then digitalize it giving us the opportunity to edit them in computers. Since light is matter, the digital camera copies matter and digitalizes it. What if we could make a digital 3D model from a computer to "get out" and take a form. It will occupy space. We will be able to touch it. The point is, what if we could take something from the digital world, to the world we live in?

    Mr.Andersen has made me the person I am today. He taught me the core values of life and that 50% of human DNA is the same to that of a banana.

    Hi, my worksheet asks how many joules are in 1 mol of this amount of red light, do i just multiply avogrados number by the joules that is given?

    Interesting because with sound waves it seems like the lower the frequency the more energy it has.. Low Bass notes can shake a whole room while high notes can't. Am I right about this? Light energy increase with freq while sound does the opposite? Please help me understand. Thank you.

    does he call the v in E = h*v for new or nu? 02:39. edit1: I get it, its a greek letter.

    nice explanation, I have got a specific question, if light is absorbed by solutions or matter in general, how come matter can vibrate light at the same time and make it visible to the human eye?, that doesn't make too much sense to me, there must be another explanation on how matter can get organized in such a process that we detect it as solid

    So if light is photons, how come radio is not? Because the only thing that's different is frequency, right?

    • @ianizer1
      @ianizer1 4 года назад +2

      According to a quick Google search (and two results from Quora), the photons are still there. www.quora.com/Are-other-electromagnetic-waves-like-radio-waves-made-of-photons (This is in case anyone else wants to know. I know this comment is five years old.)

    excellent video...taught many things which we don't get to know by just reading...
    by the way i have a doubt...
    is their any relation between the length of the wavelenght of light and its crest or trough??
    whats the ratio between their lengths??
    can anyone please help me on this?

    The solution for scientists is for them to solve their major problems
    by observing themselves being observed by their Selves in a Mirror.
    This way they'd be able to see clearly how funny they look in ernest
    since they desire to know about things but not so much their Selves.

    Can matter exist without light?

    • @andhemills
      @andhemills 9 лет назад +1

      +XvAvX through discussions I've had it is possible for matter to exist without light. imagine the universe grows cold as it ages. light exstinguishes. perhaps all matter condenses into a super black hole. once the last atom attaches to the mass, it would cause an implosion and ignite a fusion reaction, producing light. it might not be possible for light to exist without a source (matter), but light seems as if it can in fact be in a non particulate wave form.

    How does this explain anything about light and matter? It's an instrumentation history class with a total omission of how LIGHT and MATTER actually INTERACT.

    But, light and matter are both undefined things as is energy.
    It's very safe to say that nothing makes sense. Thanks to our overlords.
