This was such an enjoyable episode and the love Jack had for his cast members and they were him was very obvious to us all who are fans of his show/shows.
That sentence should read "The love Jack had for his cast members and they had for him was very obvious" Gotta watch them type-o's "VicMartino Official' yours truly Vic Martino lol.
The bit with Frank Nelson in the audience and Dennis Day's gift to Jack made me squeal with laughter! What a great episode!

Such a great episode. Particularly love the Mel Blanc comeback. It really shows how much affection Jack has 4 his cast.
During Mel's recuperation from his January 1961 auto accident {his car was totaled, and he almost died}, Jack visited him at the hospital, and during his recuperation at home *every chance he could.* They were close friends.

The guy that played Santa Claus was Dick Elliot I believe. He was the first mayor on the Andy Griffith show. Great character actor.
29:09- Jeanette Eymann was indeed Jack's script secretary- and occasionally appeared in bit parts as well (she was paid at least $80 for speaking on camera).
