Bro. You are totally correct , even the Bible tells us not to compare ourselves with one another , because In that there comes enviness and jealousy . So it's not good as Christians to do that at all.
The question about the rate of spread of Ghanaian music style into the rest of the world is about some factors relating to population size, NB, Ghanaian population is just a small fraction of the population of Nigeria and South Africans population. Some style of play with regard to music are seen globally to belong to Nigerians meanwhile it's being copied by Nigerians from Ghana. The point is that, they have to publicity advantage on the internet. Publicity and how the people are into the internet usage. It's human that sings, so the higher the number of people are into music the more the music travels. Secondly, Ghanaians are into Gospel music more than the secular, there is no manifest way Ghanaian musician start to pursue music, we all start from the Church then we divert to the secular style. The secular music travels more than the gospel, Secular Ghanaian music are played in Radio Stations in abroad, that i normally make a record when I hear, but no condition that Ghanaian Gospel will be played on abroad Radio stations.
Kumasi guys (they play very well) are cheaper than Accra boys in terms of cost. Artiste prefer to pay cheaper. Accra boys have migrated n making big money outside Ghana. Simple. There are a lot of serious Accra guys who have left music because of life demands and Greener pastures. Is there any keyboardist in Kumasi bigger than Kwame Yeboah, and the likes of Dan, Osei, David, Ernesto, Lester, Bronzy, Sanaa etc? I can go on and on: This just to mention but a few. They all outside making it big time apart from Dan who is doing so well in Ghana. Allow the Kumasi boys to enjoy their opportunity and stop the comparisons plz. The Sarkodie Mary song, which boys played it? Kumasi boys get change play for Accra pɛ, Accra boys are weak. If Accra boys get chance play for USA, does that make USA musicians weak? Come and see the wonders even American kids doing on the instruments. You’ll marvel
