Exploring Ballard Locks In Seattle

We tried to explore Ballard Locks (AKA Hiram M. Chittenden) in this short driving trip to Ballard. You can see how boats cross from salt water to fresh water and vice versa through the locks when water levels are adjusted according to the fresh or salt water levels. You will also see ladders that Salmon fish use to move between salt and fresh water. On the way back we had a delicious lunch at Ray's Boat House. Overall was a great fun trip and highly recommended for those who visit Seattle and never been to Ballard before.
