Alright, so, this might be cheesy and you guys may not even see this comment, but regardless, I've just gotta say thank you, from the bottom of my heart. My brother shot and killed himself about ten feet away from me nearly a year ago, on may 30th 2017. Among very few other things, your content, as well as my love for automotive culture as a whole, has helped keep me from losing my damn mind over the past year. In short, my life has been insane for a while, but you guys have helped, and I wanted you to know that you're making a difference in people's lives.
Steven Mccrae thank you, I appreciate it. Life seems to test people's strength in unimaginable ways sometimes, and I just so happened to find that out the hard way, but it does gradually get better.
I'm sorry for your loss...your in my prayers...don't let the damages caused by that kind of loss.... it can destroy family's.... coming together is the only way to help everybody through it.....from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠
That's the most knowledgeable builder/owner ever in a build diary. Spits out specs like a laser printer. Surely the most complex & well engineered build shown so far. Great work, Hoonies. Amazing race machine.
The internet has been waiting for this kind of show for years! Love it! Seeing the engineering behind the vehicles, and seeing underneath the vehicles is awesome! Keep it up Danger Dan!
By "car nerd" you must mean 15 yr old boy that don't know shit about cars. And by wet dream you must mean gay porn. Because that's what hoonigan/build biology is. Gay porn.
So according to your logic, you are watching gay porn and attempting to talk to 15-year-olds... BTW epic snowboarding video on your channel bro...I like the part where you slid down the mountain slowly. Also, the random cut where you sat in your Civic and smoked a cigarette was super edgy and artistic.
Oddly, 1200hp is relatively "mild" for a Cummins race motor. Though most of the >2000hp ones aren't really expected to live much longer than 10 seconds.
I have a 1950 f-1 i have been driving daily of 13 years, started cutting into it this week, going to fix some rust spots and repaint it. this video is just getting me hyped to get outside
The functionality of the insane numbers in that thing is the most impressive thing. It's not a SEMA non-driver with mad stats for the sake of mad stats, it's a working performance machine that just happens to have insane stats
I had the pleasure of meeting Scott at his garage, and man is he a nice guy. He is an amazing fabricator, and as you can see from the build quality here, is one of the baddest builders you'll ever meet.
Dear Dan, For the love of views! Get a pocket flashlight or a miners head unit light, whatever it's called. SOMETHING! Too many dark shots on important work. Sincerely, True Hoonigan Fan😁
Bad Daddy Brad had joined a very short list of my heroes. He does a crazy sitter with a rat rod and now he's a hoonigan. My first stop with my rat WILL be a particular lot in the LBC!!!
I feel in love with this model truck because of hotwheels. I had the hotwheels before I’ve ever even seen a photo of these beauties! I love this series!
I f*ing love your build biology segments. Dan is awesome at asking the right questions and showing the details on these incredible creations. Thanks guys, and high fives on these vids and edits.
LOVE the Build Biology episodes!! So much more work goes into these vehicles than you see in normal DT, good job guys! And Danger Dan is in his element :)
This guy has a Hoonigan decal on his diffuser, you guys NEED to go get some video of this and many others at Pike's Peak!! Amazing build! And great video!
0rang3z if that thing pulled up next to you in traffic you wouldn't think nothing of it with all the aero, tube chassis work with the cage coming through the cab, and the rally style lexan Windows?
I was always under the impression that the wind effect/turbulence that spins in the bed of a truck when the gate is up is good for the aerodynamics of the vehicle. I watched something, maybe a documentary a while back where this was tested in a wind tunnel, tailgate down, and up, and the spinning motion that is created in the bed of the truck due to the gate being up creates a perfect shape from the top of the cab to the tailgate that allows the rest of the wind to move over that spinning motion in the bed, creating less drag than if the tailgate was down or removed.
Yeah, you're absolutely right. So they needed to shave the wind shear right over the top with the carbon fiber. Gotcha. Really awesome engineering here. Plus he mentioned an adjustable rear wing, which will definitely top it off, take some of that streamlined pressure and use it for rear traction. Along with the diffuser, that's some serious aerodynamics on such an old vehicle. When you look at the best shapes for aerodynamic vehicles, this truck really isn't far off from what is desirable, other than that huge flat front end and windshield. Otherwise, the rounded shape to the fenders are pretty good. For land speed records, it's often said a tear drop shape is best, but in stark contrast to aerodynamics of flight, you have to account for what will keep you on the ground; the downforce, without impeding so much that it causes unnecessary drag. Really crazy balancing act for a lot of the lighter vehicles that rely mostly on front and rear wings and diffusers for 80% of their traction, like F1, for example. Something tells me, however, that this truck won't have any problems with staying on the ground. :D
i love seeing some of the cars in more detail wat makes ehm tick,i dont know how i didnt know there was a build biology abouth smokey always wanted to know more abouth it its such an amazing machiene
Boost on a stock truck is ~25lbs. A stock truck with a stock turbo, stock head bolts, and a stock head gasket will take 35lbs and still be safe. 100lbs takes some fancy head studs and some fire rings.
@@halbritt cummins 89-02 trucks take 150 psi on a all stock setup. My truck runs at 105 on a set of compounds . Stock head , gasket, bolts no fire ring. Year and a half dally driven. on this set up.
Loving the build biology, finding out how everything is done and made! Can you please sort Danger Dan out with some form of light so we can see inside the cockpits and around the chassis a bit better? 🤙🙏
He says "Nothing should be behind you." Dude! With 1200hp, I bet everything ends up behind you in 2 seconds. This is the truck that brought me to Hoonigan. Love this thing!
Chuckles Garage oh I heard you talk about taking the halo off the seats for street driving. I didn’t put two and two together. You know it crossed my mind that I’d love to buy a vehicle like this, but then I realized I probably couldn’t afford the crate engine, off the shelf parts version.
I've been here before u started dts and that and I'm glad I've stayed hoonigan and Adam lz all the way.. One day I hope to come to hoonigan but I can't coz me and my family are too poor
Dam I don't like trucks but holy Fuck that's cool
HermesDesigns I wish more people had this kind of attitude in the car community.
HermesDesigns same👍
well its not much of a truck anymore
That's like saying Nascar is full of stock cars. There's basically nothing left of any of the original.
Trucks are cool. Any other cool things you don't like? We got videos.
Old Smokey was the first DT I watched, glad to see it back in for a Build Biology
Same

Thanks bro just doing it for the fans. Great content on your channel btw
I bet this thing’s got enough torque to slow the rotation of the earth!
Josh Bacon it doesnt actually drive around. It just turns the earth underneath it
Oddly, 1200hp is relatively "mild" for a Cummins race motor. Though most of the >2000hp ones aren't really expected to live much longer than 10 seconds.
Heath Albritton yeah I see em around. Not unusual but still ridiculous
Josh Baco
The earth is flat...
Absolutely want to see the Pikes Peak run. This truck is bonkers! Love it. Great video.
He wrecked it.
The legendary truck returns!
Lars Mars Cars she is definitely a famous lady
I have a 1950 f-1 i have been driving daily of 13 years, started cutting into it this week, going to fix some rust spots and repaint it. this video is just getting me hyped to get outside
It's Ol' Smokey!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome Build Breakdown, boys

Hunter C Thank you!
Old Smokey introduced me to Hoonigan channel, my life is better ever since! Keep up the great work guys!
I've been waiting a long time for this day.
It's also a relief to see her after the fire. Was a bit worried that she was lost aswell.
So beautiful, what a build. So many details. You guys should cover his pikes peek run
Dear Dan,
For the love of views! Get a pocket flashlight or a miners head unit light, whatever it's called. SOMETHING! Too many dark shots on important work.
Sincerely,
True Hoonigan Fan😁
I like these episodes. It's nice watching a hoonigan episode that's the same volume all the way through.
Jaw dropping! I need a custom jack to close my dropped jaw
Hoonigans, You hit a home run with all the new shows. Scott and O smokey are locals in Santa Rosa by my shop! It get street
driven too! Awesome truck!
How nice is Scott! Super humble, and a build genius
Wayne Clement Thank you.
Wow one of the best thought out and built trucks I've ever seen
That's one of the sweetest trucks I've ever seen. WELL. DONE.
Bad Daddy Brad had joined a very short list of my heroes. He does a crazy sitter with a rat rod and now he's a hoonigan. My first stop with my rat WILL be a particular lot in the LBC!!!
He’s a legend. Mad cool factor
I feel in love with this model truck because of hotwheels. I had the hotwheels before I’ve ever even seen a photo of these beauties! I love this series!
This series of videos is the best for auto geeks. Really like seeing all the details.
one of the sickest trucks iv seen!!! such cool engineering has gone into that thing!
I f*ing love your build biology segments. Dan is awesome at asking the right questions and showing the details on these incredible creations. Thanks guys, and high fives on these vids and edits.
Awesome work as usual guys! Stoked to be part of the [HOONIGAN] family!
Can't wait to see this blast up pikes peak! Badass truck!
LOVE the Build Biology episodes!! So much more work goes into these vehicles than you see in normal DT, good job guys! And Danger Dan is in his element :)
Craziest truck I’ve seen. Mad respect for peeking it ✌🏼
This guy has a Hoonigan decal on his diffuser, you guys NEED to go get some video of this and many others at Pike's Peak!! Amazing build! And great video!
I like how at 17:19 he starts leading Dan as oppose to Dan leading him. Him showing how much he really loves it. I think.
What a unique and cool MONSTER!! Beautiful craftsmanship! Much respect!
Build Biology and Garage Garage are my two absolute favorite segments you guys do!
Nice seeing the Bell Intercooler. I used to work for Corky and Gerhardt building those beasts about a decade ago. Memories.
Awesome truck, I absolutely love it! Really hope you guys cover the race!
Old smokey was one of my favorite DT episodes, glad to see the truck back at the garage! should rip at pikes peak.
This series is amazing, please keep them coming!
Now that's a truck!!! I love these types of builds. Something I would build and own. The wheels make the appearance.
Just... plain... bonkers. Love every bit of it.
My favorite vehicle from DT on my favorite day of the new setup. This is a good Hoonigan day.
"Come crew with us" would not be something I'd have to think about twice over when offered! Go for it Dan!
Pretty much the most bad ass truck on the planet!
I think Ken's new F-100 build for Gymkhana 10 would give it a Run for its money....😉
I’ve been waiting to see this build!!! Man I appreciate this series of DT!!!
Old Smokey F1, a legend from birth.
Saw this truck at the never lift 1/2mile drag event. That's one bad ass truck .
I would love to meet a fellow old truck builder . He is such a humble person.
Oh can't wait to see the Pikes Peak footage. Such wicked truck.
Best truck i ever seen... better then cheap lamborghini or bugatti
YESS. The Episode this guy was on this channel was the one I subbed and now he's back with the Video I wanted so bad.
That's a badass truck!! Nice job putting that monster together!!
Oh man, that's a lot of my favorite things in one package: Pikes Peak racecar, Cummins turbo diesel, old pickup, and sheer insanity.
Seen this truck on scid for the first time. Still love this truck. 4 thumbs up
I'm loving this series, keep em coming boys. Awesome build..
Old smokey was the reason i subscribed, dont regret it one bit
ruclips.net/video/qsXQ-Fzp3Ww/видео.html
This car is the ultimate sleeper. Rust bucket built like a damn gt car holy ahit what else could I ask for. What a badass build
Thats far from a sleeper..
0rang3z its not a sleeper at all
0rang3z if that thing pulled up next to you in traffic you wouldn't think nothing of it with all the aero, tube chassis work with the cage coming through the cab, and the rally style lexan Windows?
Didn’t see a spot of rust, somehow that truck is still so clean... sick
Definitely not a sleeper
That’s so sick!!!! I’m so impressed with the design.
Definitely going to pikes peak to see this truck shred!
Again Dans knowledge of race cars and fabrication adds such great element to the show. Don't ever lose Dan the man.
sick dedication to a build!! done right! impressive
cummins enough said
MJ JR common rail, enough said.
Absolutely love this truck.....badass......just badass. I don't know what else to say but badass
It’s going to be in gran turismo. Spoilers.
AnimeFreak2957 Will it truly because gran turismo window banners usually don't mean anything
One of the most insanest builds ever!!!!🤤😲😲😲
So good I had to watch it twice
My favorite vehicle on this channel hands down
Can't wait to see this hit Pikes Peak. Epic truck

Alpha Machina that would work in a empty bed but his is full of suspension, rad, cage and other fabrication that would mess up that effect

ok , sickness . barely a spec of dirt on that beast , awesome build, mad respect

Great series, super clean
RIP Old Smokey, this truck was an absolute monster
My. Favorite. Series. Ever.
Dang nice build, guys. Love it!!
A great deal of work went into that beast. Hope you have a win.
100 psi of boost? 😲😳😳 WOW!

My favorite truck to come onto Hoonigan just got a lot more sexier. I love the build biology series!
I'm in love.
Imagine pulling up to work driving a truck like that.
This truck is the legend of cooling super great fab work sick burnouts 👍👍👍

Very nice! I like this build a lot! Good luck at the events!
Badass build! I love it, Good job to Chuckles Garage!
He says "Nothing should be behind you." Dude! With 1200hp, I bet everything ends up behind you in 2 seconds. This is the truck that brought me to Hoonigan. Love this thing!
Grant Farrelly I use it for land speed and hill climbs. Never anyone behind you lol

id like to see videos of the previous versions of the truck. evolution from start to now. that would be a sick video or videos
As a machinist myself, I can truly appreciate the work done on this build. The A-arms are beautiful! What’s next?
Get the video liked guys! We want 2 of these per week!! 😂❤️
Are you willing to pay for it?
this series is awesome, congrats
I'm digging the graphics and production technique.
Best build breakdown to date
This truck is INSANE......I LOVE IT
Awesome breakdown!! Great EP!
