Mary Timony saved my life! I had just survived a traumatic situation as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nicaragua. I was evacuated to Washington, DC in the Spring of 2003. That night I saw Mary was playing a local pub. I didn't have the $7 cover, but she let me in and let me talk to another human being when I needed that more than anything else in the world! Such a compassionate person!
This is simply awesome. No words to describe this... I adore Mary Timony since I saw Helium on 120 Minutes in 1995, I guess. THANK YOU for uploading this.

Mary Timony is an absolute joy. Her voice is so enchanting, and her stage presence is just as enrapturing.

So glad to be able to watch this here! I love her music so much! And seeing Valley of a thousand perfumes being played live is heartbreaking
David Cross presenting her! Awesome.
I was at this show. It was awesome.
So lucky far out... I want to see her one day do the solo records. I asked her after a show recently and she said one day yes
@@Cronelife_ Happening on Mar 4th!
Thank you! I saw her opening for Sleater-Kinney in May of 1999 at the Irvine, which this looks like.
sure do love this. she uses a different tuning than most, and I guess she always has. whatever it is, it sure works for her.
This was from Irving Plaza Back in September 99 Matador 10th Anniversary.
Very nice. I only wish the sound level was a bit higher. Thank you for uploading the entire show :)
i love her :)
The valley of a thousand perfumes performance sounds just like the album version
T-MONEY IN DA HOOUUSSEE!
Joe Wong is dead right, Mary. This album was ahead of the curve. Fuck that Pitchfork grade.

The violin at the end tho.
