Exceptional work guys. I love that you unpacked the math and methodology - super interesting. The impact weighting was the cherry on top and gives efficacy to the whole model. Great summary at the end too. I have always run t10 resil in PvP as a safety net and now I’ll be more confident in running t9 if I really need an extra stat tier somewhere else for a build.

Amazing info first vid I’ve watched from ya and I gotta say Ive been CRAVING this kinda stuff as a pvp main this is IMMENSELY useful like just chiefs kiss amazing work gentlemen. I had this specific setup with my hunter (revenant) where I have 100mob, 100recov, 40resil just cuz after a twab they said adaptive pulses can 2 burst under 4. So glad this vid clarified that cuz MAN did that take some time to build craft PHEW 😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉

Amazing video! Could you possibly do a video for Intellect in PVP?
If you take into account that not every fight is a one on one, you won't enter every fight at full health and the enemy might be dealing less damage due to drop off, there are a stupidly large number of scenarios and combinations of damage where resil can make the difference between dying and not. In a pure dueling capacity the chart is great to go off of, but high resil in general is great.

I coudlnt agree more. I wont say that resilience or ttk do not matter, but I think how you START a fight or how good handling you have are pretty important.
Back when resil first started to get attention and was 40% at tier 10 everyone would constantly say how you NEED to have max resil and that it was basically mandatory.
Ever since it has been a dump stat for me along with Intelligence (im a hunter so I need mobility) just to prove that its not needed for high end activities. I instead normally focus recovery and honestly I think its just as good. Being able to get your health back as fast as possible in activities where your taking so much damage all the time and breaks for healing are few is super helpful
I main stasis so it works super well as I can freeze nearby enemies whenever I need a break for healing and even if I dont freeze everything I can often still heal to full

Great video my guy. With the shoulder charge changes throwing another required stat in for titans, and hunters already needing to juggle, this is super helpful.
i have 8 recovery on my hunter lol. its so weird, i wish mobility was just removed from the game or reworked into something else. i dont even feel more mobile than the other classes.
@@xiphosmaniacit’s because you aren’t. Titan and Warlock jumps actually boost them forward unlike the Hunter jump which only does it if you hit your head on a ceiling. I only pump mobility to get my dodge back faster and I guess the extra strafe speed. Even if it’s minor I’d like it if there was a movement speed increase with each tier of mobility.

For me regarding resilience is the flinch testing that confuses me as I can never tell any difference between between 2 resilience or 6 on m/kb. Cool to see all the spread sheets. Mad respect for that amount of work to everyone involved
Each point into Resilience is like .90% extra flinch resist. So at 10 Res you get less them 10% extra flinch resistance. Though combined with other things like stability and armour perks that extra little can make a big difference at the high end. Some gun's with all the armour mods can get up to 70% flinch resist. So compare 0-70% and you should see a difference.
The flinch resistance you get from pumping resil correlates to quite literally a couple pixels on the screen. Not worth pumping resil if you are using it for flinch resistance. Just put your stats some where else and use an aim trainer or boost ur aim assist with targeting mods and targeting adjuster

I have watched this 4 times now, and I know you've had it out for some time, I have begun readjusting my gear, I broke away from the wooby of 100 resil, and dropped it to 58-73 depends on subclass, but I moved away from my 100 mob as well, I'm working all my gear and subclasses to work for each other now, I know I should've been doing that years and yrs ago.... I know..... But I am shifting to a minimum of 58-70 on everything, but bumping strength, recovery and intellect to as close to 100 as I can, that's on my hunter, and only my hunter, and I'll say this, constantly having a melee as a solar hunter is AMAZING, not having to work about my gamblers Dodge to get it back is even more amazing.... I'm almost to 90 on all 3 of those, so it's getting better and better as I keep tweaking the gear setup, and I'm trying to get to 90 at those before MW'ing the gear, havnt really tried to see how it plays pve wise, but I bet it's gonna be gnarly though.... I have gotten a few wth whispers and msgs on Xbox as well, love this guide.... Keep up the awesome work 🤙
