I do the same thing with my Lingboa build, applying two debuffs on wizardry spell hit, except I mostly use vemon snare for the spell, so power drop, damage amp, and poison, and boom, that's 3. Any enemy that isn't immune to poison will also stagger for a second when you hit them with vemon snare which then gives you time to hit molten calamity thorn, which also does more damage when the enemy has three debuffs, and it also heals them of all debuffs, so you can then just hit vemon snare again. It's a pretty viscous combo as long as the enemy isn't immune to poison.
Not sure I got your point : why not use this grace and build around it a more spirit dmg focused build ? Poison dot + lightning status seemed pretty good to me, tbh … I mean spirit gauge auto build up on ennemies with both the poison dot and lightning status is really not something to be overlooked, imho … ;)
If you add chill accumulation and damage to enemies with chill you will do more dot damage makes sense that you going for dot and water damage works as well
I have focus my lingbao on metal element with am emphasis on poison but when I find a boss who's resistant to poison I switch battle sets at the flag smart to have one battle set for each element ready to go depending on your play style you can focus on the element you like at the blacksmith embed damage to and accumulation on enemies melee gives you more physical damage
Quick question and I apoligize if this was answered in the video and I missed it. Does the grace give a bonus to wizardry damage too? In my testing it didnt seem to affect the spell damage?
@@amnmullins87 Hey thanks. Well, I cant say for sure as I haven't played the game in a while but given the description, it should increase the hp damage dealt by wizardry spells as well. I've only tried with the DoT spells and they definitely work. You might wanna test with some really hard hitting spell to check that as the increase will be far more noticeable
Add 30% to what ever you have at activation of lingbao that's the damage the grace gives my advice do testing on what you have then make you builds around what works for you I like guding blade so I based my build around it guding blade scales off metal and fire
One thing I think is important to note is you did not test or at least show the high damage moves using this. So for example using Iron calf martial art or ominous chill with this lingbao setup, overpowered burst and amplify dmg - against bosses - will give you great dmg in between fatal strikes. The red emperor set is also good for this. I use the same build pretty much on co-op with different spells, using heavy armour and it feels like a very all round build. It is however, not OP by any means. Curious to see your recommendation for the best grace set. I feel like NG+ and graces especially were a real letdown and not build defining like in Nioh. A missed opportunity.
Well, the thing is, I personally hate using martial arts or specially wizardry spells that deplete a large portion of your spirit gauge, leaving you in a really tight spot. Specially against really aggressive enemies like Zhang Liao. Ominous chill is one of hardest hitting spells in the game but it also eats up a large portion of your sprit gauge I feel like making a build focused solely on wizardry spells is extremely situational unlike in nioh because they didn’t eat up your ki unlike in this game. I don’t think caster builds will be anywhere as OP or even decent as it was in nioh 2 because the game wants you to focus more on the parry mechanic
@@sionicNS Yeah fair enough. It's just considering that most builds cannot compare to guding blade spirit dmg spam on humans, I think the truly interesting lingbao builds right now, revolve around the fast mission clearing and comfy setups. Wizardry is great for that and against any non human boss, you kill so fast. Then switch to guding for most human bosses. Now against Zhang Liao and Lu Bu just focus on deflects with something like grace of daode or go for big charged martial arts hits when you have openings with a more offensive grace.

Take note these graces perform different depending on what element your going up against eg water/ fire and so on
I respectfully disagree. I just finished this build and I love it. I think you need to change up your embedded skills.
I paired lingbao with strategy of genius still trying to farm -1midigation on crossbow

And also. Great video!

Good video! What do you think it’s the best spirit damage build for pvp?
I want to try Grace of Daode.
Venom snare is by far the most aggressive spirit dmg spell/build in PvP.
Grace of daode it's the same grace of lingbao it works really well only had a hard time beating lui bui
Dont use any spirit or spell, if u want to be good at pvp

Farm bamboo crossbow ?
Cheaters are ruining the game 👎🏻
How are people cheating??
@David Puckett they make themselves immune to dmg and deal 69k + dmg with 1 hit
