I think 2024 is the year no hauls and small hauls are IN, we don't need to see someone buying a shit ton of stuff to enjoy the content. The thrift shopping is the fun part!
I know youre always bummed when you dont find a lot of great items, but i love watching these videos regardless of what you actually buy. I love the chit chat shopping, seeing what you leave, hearing the thought process. The fun of thrifting is finding the diamonds! Id rather watch you buy one great find then 10 "ok" things.
First of all, both the jorts and the blazer are so great! I think a lot of people are moving away from that “entire new wardrobe” or as is used to call it “load of laundry” thrift hauls, because really, we don’t need a whole new wardrobe every time we go to the thrift store. What you got was great and it was a fun video to watch!
I'd love to see a decor thrift video that then shows how you ended up setting things around the house. Your taste is so cute and i need inspo for my own apartment!
You have become my absolute comfort youtuber as a stressed out 25 year old college student/retail worker. I didn’t even realize it until recently, that I haven’t missed an upload in months and in the past couple years I’ve only missed a handful of your videos. I just adore you and your content 💕 even in days with so much anxiety, you provide me with this calmness and joy (and keep me interested throughout the video) that no other content creator has been able to do lately. I so appreciate you!
Carrie, I suspect the blazer "I look like a real estate agent) issue is because you tend to look great in (and are drawn to) very relaxed and casual styles in comfier fabrics. A very stiff and tailored blazer works against you and your style preferences, and that's pretty much all you're going to find in the men's section of the thrift. I'd suggest putting on a generic base outfit where the vibe can switch easily depending on blazer choice, then go try on some women's blazers in non-thrift stores. You can try on styles that are loose and relaxed in fabrics that aren't so stiff, like linen, but you'd probably look amazing in leather or faux leather, velvet, corduroy, and denim. You don't have to buy anything, just go on a blazer scavenger hunt and find blazers in those fabrics. See how you feel in them. I suspect it will completely solve your issue, and you'll probably be able to thrift something similar online if you don't want to shell out for a new one.
Honestly stealing this idea for my imaginary tattoo shop 😂 But imagine walking into a shop with a waiting area and that being in there with beautiful tattoos painted on ❤
aw I love the jewlery cabinet! Love the shorts and the art. I love to line up a row of little vases with all kind of greenery. Thank you for taking us thrifting X
One year for Mother’s Day I put together a bouquet of flowers for my grandmother with fake flowers from the thrift store and just put it in a vase with filler stones. She loved it! Flowers that will never die! 💐
I love going to the thrift stores. One of the things I always pick up are random plates in different sizes for my potted plants to sit on. Rather than just buying the boring clear plastic or terra cotta trays/plates. I think it looks more fun with a random plate. My other go to is to pick up fabric for redoing furniture, etc. I have used fabric to make curtains, redone ottomans, covered old books, headbands, coasters, etc. Really the list is endless. And I personally love to look for and use placemats. I really like to find vintage tablecloths and find placemats to go with. First it is cheaper and I can change it up to go with the seasons. And if I decide I my esthetic changes then I don't feel bad about re-thrifting something. I will always choose to thrift before I buy new.
I used to be heavily plus size and now I'm straight size medium. Suddenly drifting became a whole different experince. To have about 50% of the clothes to fit you and after it's only a matter of taste and price? It's just wild.
I feel ya. I’m 5 foot 2 & industry standard for petite pants is to cut at 5 foot 4. Shopping off the rack (Even at regular retailers) without having alterations done means the majority of people’s clothes don’t fit perfectly. *sigh*. 🤷♀️. I’m also entering into standard size clothing & need to retake my measurements. A good problem as far as problems go 👍
I love that you went to a charity thrift shop. Over the years and many sizes, I sold so much clothes to resale shops. We had one locally that focused on 12 & up. The other shops loved to get my larger sizes. Maybe larger sizes retain more value? I love how you styled your cricket sweater off the shoulder. Cozy and classic gone flirty.
Great video, so down to earth and relatable. Please keep the thrifting videos coming. I love that you share your wishlist list ideas of what you’re looking for when you go thrifting. This has inspired me to start my thrifting wishlist . I use to sew maybe I should consider a simple project again, hmmm…… thank you for sharing, be well 🙏
Yesss someone who knows the diference between leopard and cheetah, now leopard and jaguar, jaguars have a spot in the middle of the rossette (cloud looking spot like leopards, leopards have rosettes) 😂😂 i was obssessed with big cats and animals growing up, ended up depressed working in an office due to severe social anxiety and anxiety in general, thank you high school for f**king me up 🤬
Woolite makes a diy dry cleaner thing u can find in the laundry aisle. It's essentially a bag you put the garments in, and some dry cleaner product on sheets and you put that in the bag with the garments and throw it in the dryer. It's super simple, I used them all the time for my dry clean only uniforms
More thrifting … challenges!?! I watch a creator that is very much standard size & she’s always like see it’s so easy to find anything … being plus size I truly appreciate your take on the mid/plus experience 🖤
As a busy mom of 2 toddlers, I haven’t had many opportunities to thrift over the past few years. I always love seeing your videos! I recently found out that I’m expecting baby no. 3 and I really want to thrift some vintage baby Oshkosh overalls. Lots of love from rural Wisconsin 🐄🧀❤️
You should do a sewing workshop or course! I did one and I think it's the easiest way to learn how to use the machine and get some tips. As far as actually sewing goes, practice makes perfect. It was just really hard to start off for me, but that's what the course forced me to do haha
I remember you recently showed new sheets. I believe the top sheet was striped. The new floral picture would look nice in your Bedroom to match the sheets.
Lol are we the same person? Your thrift wishlist includes vintage Disney, Sun sign stuff AND Taylor Swift. ALL things on my thrift wishlist. God bless.
Great find that’s the biggest thrift store I’ve ever seen I’d love to get lost in there lol. Also you inspired me because I hate how jeans hurt my stomach even if they’re too big on me so I found a blue and white stripped 100% cotton boxer type pj pants so I can wear them as actual pants. I got them for $2 at a small thrift store near my house and I love them! So comfy! Thank you for the idea!
If you do find your army camo pants, I'd love to see how you style them. I just got a pair off Posh and haven't worn them yet, mainly because it's gotten hot where I live, but I'd love to see what you pair with your's.
Hahaha I am walking around tidying up listening to the video, heard you going through your wishlist and thought you said “bitchin’ sunglasses” and I’m like HELL YEAH GIRL
It’s so funny because what I decide is “too much” really depends on the day and I contradict myself all the time 😂😂 apparently on this day, $7.99 for a tshirt was a big NO 😂
Love the jorts fit perfect so cute. The easiest think to sew is a skirt nice midi with elastic. Or leopard skirt. If I can do it so can you. Take care. I look out for more video. I am looking for camo too like a month. I thinking Army Navy store and run a water with little bleach to make them vintagesk. We were the same size. Take care, say hi too drew love your sweater but it 89 degrees in Florida😎
I've been in thrift stores where the clothing was separated by color, not size--WHY. I guess that makes it easier for the employees to hang stuff, but it just makes no sense to me. It's maddening. I had a pretty good day at the thrift yesterday, but there was only 1 dressing room and apparently there was some *situation* where they closed it and ran a customer out of the store. Dra-ma! I got one turn in there, but it was closed after that. I really could not shop at a store w no dressing room, unless I was just buying a jacket.
My friends don’t get why I don’t love consignment shopping or postmark. It’s so hard to find things my size 2nd hand and yes I would love to get a great deal too but when you go to store and there’s maybe only a handful of things in your size, its so discouraging.
Since you often find great pieces that aren't in your size, would you ever consider buying them and selling them on Poshmark for viewers of your channel to purchase? Maybe a future video idea!
@@Taywanee Good point! I had no idea they made that change, however, it makes sense because it seems like influencers aren't talking about posting on their postmark as much. Thanks!

Oddly enough I feel like the angel table would be fun if it was painted with tattoos on it 🤭

that last little vase is actually originally from trader joe’s! they sell their paper whites and a few other bulb plants in them :) so cute!!
