Amy Carmichael Missionary Story in Tamil | Biography

Amy Carmichael was a Christian missionary and writer who dedicated her life to serving God and helping others. She was born in Millisle, Ireland in 1867 and felt a strong calling to missionary work at a young age. She pursued her education at the Keswick Convention in England and later became a missionary in Japan and India.
Carmichael spent over 50 years living and working in India, where she founded the Dohnavur Fellowship, a missionary community dedicated to rescuing and caring for young girls and women who had been forced into temple prostitution. She became known for her compassionate heart and her fearless determination to help those in need.
One of Carmichael's most notable accomplishments was her role in exposing the practice of temple prostitution, which was then prevalent in Southern India. She worked tirelessly to rescue girls from this system and provide them with food, shelter, and education. She was not afraid to confront the powers that be, and faced many challenges and setbacks as a result.
Carmichael was also a gifted writer and wrote over 30 books on a variety of topics such as Christian spirituality, prayer, and missions. Her writing was widely read in both England and the United States, and she became a beloved figure in religious circles.
Throughout her life, Carmichael remained committed to her faith and her mission to help others. She never married and devoted herself entirely to serving God and those in need. She passed away in 1951 in Dohnavur, India, but her legacy continues to inspire people around the world.
Today, the Dohnavur Fellowship that Carmichael founded still exists and continues to provide shelter, education, and medical care to women and children in need. The organization carries on Carmichael's tradition of caring for the most vulnerable members of society and helping them to find hope and healing.

and brief description of Amy Amma. I am one among thousands of beneficiaries of dear Amma's selfless and stressful ministry along with dear sitties, Annachies and Accals. To day if at all I am alive and spiritually strengthened in my Beloved Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, It is Lord's mercy and grace through dear Amma and all those who had contributed for my well being in D.F. Had I not been rescued from this wicked world in the year 1949 when I was just seven weeks helpless baby, I should have have in Eternal hell fire. Once again with all humility and humbleness and with no adequate words to offer, I bow at the feet of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ gratefulness and also thank all the dear ones in Dohnavur Fellowship past and present.
