I can seriously say this, been in trading for over 13 years. In my days, when I started, finding a trader who has made some money was extremely difficult. Thanks to these FTMO interviews, new traders can now at aleast see that there are others who are making conssistent profits. I will be very interested in followup interviews in 6 montsh to 1 year time.
5 hours is nothing for studying at the start. I was doing 10 hours a day for the first 6 months. I learned every little detail about trading. This isn't necessarily a good thing, that's not why im saying it, but for the other people who are spending 10 hours a day like i did, the best advice i can give my younger self would be study a little less, and focus on one strategy. Simplicity can be helpful. Breakout strategies are simple, and almost safe to say fool proof. (Of course practice makes prefect and knowing what times are the best for breakouts for certain pairs also helps.) Great enthusiasm from Daniele, was a great watch. Usually im bored by the interviews.
This guy is probably one of the best interviews you will find out there, i like this. its the kind of interview i would give myself, basic things he talks about but very clear if you have been in a trading journey

Great interview especially about his talk related to the importance of mental toughness in trading. But I have noticed that in his stats 22 trades were done during April8 but there is ONLY ONE setup that I see during that day with respect to his strategy. What about the 21 other trades?

Hello The FxTrucker, as you can see in the Account MetriX part of the interview, Daniele made a profit of $20,000 on a $200,000 FTMO Account, hence 10%. At the time when the interview was recorded, Daniele had a second, fresh $200,000 FTMO Account with no Profit Split yet. I’m still trying to understand why give a 5% target for a 60 day period and 10% for 30 days on prop firm evaluations. Honestly I think it should be the other way round. They know this that’s why they began these extensions. You guys should really look at it and flip this thing the other way. 60 days to make 10% will be very cool especially for swing traders.
I think it's better like it is now. Because the first phase is really challenging and with the extension you have 2 weeks more in phase 1 ^^ Even tho it is still challenging, as soon as you passed the phase 1 you can chill a little and get your phase 2 passed safely ;)
Great Vid but keep in mind at least in this video I don't believe ALL his profits are coming from just his Asian Range strategy as that would be 1 trade a day max and according to this video he didnt take an Asian Range Trade everyday not to mention the trading range is from 29th of March to 12th of April 2022 24:28 and it seems he has taken 227 trades so far and 21 trades on the 8th of April and 36 trades on the 7th of April 24:41 and Im sure these are not 227 Asian Range trades so when you see all the profits which I believe are real just know that the strategy being shown is only accounting for a portion of the profits so don't think you will do only this Asian Range Strategy and make these kinds of profits. Is it possible MAYBE but just know we don't have his full trading strategy used to hit the profit target in this video! This is no Knock on FTMO Im just pointing out things that may not be obvious to newer traders. With that said FTMO is the best out there!!!
I might have missed it, but what I understood from what he was saying is that he does not trade the Asian session at all. He looks at the price range during the Asian session to know where to buy or sell. The price action during Asia and London sessions is purely for informing his entries, and he only enters trades during the NY session. And as for the number of trades some people like to break it down into multiple positions. You see 21 trades on April 8th but other people see ONE trade with 21 positions. As Daniele said in the interview, people see things differently. Two traders, same market conditions, one makes a profit, the other blows their account. Perspectives.

As he puts it, he's looking for the contraction and neutralization during the first 2 sessions and the trend or expansion for the NY session as I understand it. In other words, he's often looking for the breakout during the NY session.
I don't think this is the important part you have to focus on this interview. I'll be focusing more on the mental toughness part of his talk as it cover 80% of your success in trading as he mentioned. Everyone can have his own techniques how to get in and out of the market. The main differentiator between profitable and not yet profitable is the trading mindset.
