My Dad died in 1980 so we couldn't watch it together but I know that he would have loved it. Lastly, I loved how this movie really showed that Rachel was right there with Jackie and fighting bigotry and hate. I don't recall the previous movies showcasing that part of the story.

I love the Brooklyn Dodgers an Ultimate Dream would be to watch a game at Ebbets Field with Jackie Robinson 1955 playing the Yankees my dad's Yankees fan he loved Mickey Mantle I kind of went a different way I chose to be a Dodger my favorite ball is Jackie Robinson I heard so much beautiful things about him from all the old players that played with him on the Dodgers how he would stay and make sure all the kids had autographs to the very last one what a stand-up guy was what a great athlete football player he was his brother ran with Jesse Owens in the Berlin Olympics of 1936 I believe just very fascinating anyway go Dodgers

Maybe it was a breakthrough but as a fan sitting in the hot ass bleachers at Fenway Park as a young boy.. with my glove waiting to catch a home run by "Yaz" was a dream come true. Only problem when your 10 yrs old and adult white men are throwing beer at the back of your head was not a good feeling. So maybe Jackie changed some things on the field but some fans didn't get the memo....🤯
