I'm creating a Minecraft server! (Inspired by Hypixel)

- In this video, I start developing a big Minecraft minigame server like Hypixel and Mineplex. I learn to develop Minecraft Spigot plugins, and even do a little building. Then, I create the first minigame for my new Minecraft server.
Remember to join the Magic Wars playtest on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022 at 7:00 PM Eastern Time. There will be a stream that goes live at that time. Just go to the Minecraft server address given in the live stream to join.

edit: ok so I did season 3 and it didn't go well, I made a new minigame and added items, BIG MISTAKE, also I'm having trouble finding players as I live in the UK so timezones have been a struggle, anyone have any advice?

@@ModMonster heads up: to make a server, you will most likely need a spark IP if you don't already have one (you can make a local server that lets your device and every other on the same network join, but the spark IP will let people from different networks join onto your server)

NERD SHIT: From the code that was shown; The double determines whether the item is being used or not and if it should remove one of that item (or start the cooldown for it), this also prevents the item from going into a negative proxy) [other than that, I couldn't see most of the code, so idk what else is there, but I hope that this helped a little!]

Few things:
1. That's not really "java being bad", it's more "bukkit/spigot being bad", than anything else
2. Try out kotlin, you can get some really nice & concise code
3. You should try doing this on fabric/quilt instead of bukkit/spigot
4. If you make the code open source, I'd be willing to contribute & help clean a bunch of it up
I should have been using Kotlin from the start, but now I'm used to Java so I think it might be hard to switch now. I also sort of like the Bukkit/Spigot API, but don't like the complexity and boilerplate that comes with Java. Honestly, Java's probably actually good and I just don't understand it lol
@@ModMonster from both a java & kotlin dev, kotlin is pretty similar to java & easy to pick up
Also, however much you like bukkit/spigot, trust me when I say fabric is better

What’s your editing software
I use Adobe Premiere Pro but I recommend you use DaVinci Resolve if you’re learning something new since it’s free and seems to be a LOT less buggy than Premiere.
Let make a hypixel skyblock remake I already have added too much thing like all custom item and bazaar and mobs and minion and nearly everything and some item abilities only item abilities and dungeon left

In the future I might set up a space on my server where people can build their own maps, and then you could build your own. Right now, I’m not really set up to do that, unfortunately.

Firstly, I'm not going to add bed wars because, like I said in the video, I'm going for originality on this server. If you want to play bed wars, you can just play on Hypixel, Mineplex, or any of the other 100s of servers that have it. I'm also not going to make the server cracked because: A) that's illegal, and B) it would be a huge security risk because anyone can just set their username to be the same as mine and get owner permissions. Also, it would be impossible to ban anyone, because they could just switch their username and rejoin.

just copyed ligitimoose i saw him do this for his minigame server and you just stole his idea and editing style
The idea of creating a Minecraft server isn't stolen from Legitimoose any more than it's stolen from any other Minecraft server. The editing style wasn't originally created by Legitimoose, and as far as I know the first popular RUclipsr to use the green screen editing style was Dani (although please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this, all I know is that it wasn't invented by Legitimoose.) If you watch his videos, you will see that the minigames he creates are very different from the one I create in this video. I will admit, however, that Legitimoose and his channel were a form of inspiration for this video, however I think it's a bit of a stretch to say I directly copied him.

Which is a big relief since i haven't seen or heard from Dani in a long time and seeing this made me feel like there are people like him who try to make videos just like his to entertain us just like he does. In my opinion, you're doing a really good job and you should continue if you consider to stop.
@@Kotompoukakis Oh, thanks! I'm kinda tired of people telling me I'm a clone of X or that I copied Y, and I got very sarcastic lol. These videos take a lot of effort to make and making this one gave me a new appreciation of people like Dani. I don't know if I'll continue with something like this since I'm still experimenting with different video styles for my channel, but I hope to be able to continue in the same style.... eventuallyᵀᴹ
