A business isn't a way to get rich fast. A business is simply when you learn to do these 3 things really well:
    1) Creating or finding great products/services to sell.
    2) Putting those products in front of the right customers.
    3) Giving those customers a great reason to buy.
And each person will have their own journey to get there with a LOT of hard work & sacrifices along the way 💪👊
On this channel, we discuss all topics for ecommerce business owners (with a sprinkle of motivation thrown in too) to help them master these 3 things! On this channel, we offer:
    * Case studies on successful ecommerce stores.
    * Tutorials for apps & online tools.
    * Low-cost, beginner-friendly product sourcing methods (Print On Demand & Dropshipping).
    * Sales psychology tactics to increase conversions & get customers to buy from you & to click on your ads.
    * Videos to help you with the "legal stuff" (creating refund policies, setting up taxes, etc).

It doesn't matter. Trust me, those who care about the information in it will watch it. And you also made the right thing to post it. I also think that you should keep similar to that one coming, if again, you don't mind the smaller audience. This is the psychological stuff that matters side by side with the actions that one take for developing a business, and they are just as, if not more important. I, personally would like to see more of these.

Hi Sarah, Before my ecommerce I ran a beekeeping business and taught beekeeping. I can see some parallels in mindset.
It wasn't long before I realised a lot of my students thought keeping bees was going to be their easy money. They thought they just got them, then when they wanted honey to sell, they would open the lid and get it.
I would have students call me saying they spent $30,000 on beehives, and haven't gotten any honey all year.
I asked them how much work they put into the hives and it was always the same "Well, none"...

Your transparency and honesty is refreshing in the cesspool of youtube "get rich quick" videos. I wouldn't even say that this video was the least bit negative, it was realistic with an intent to set people up for success. If people are unwilling to put in the work, unwilling to handle and learn from their initial, inevitable failures, then they probably aren't cut out for starting and scaling an online business.
Appreciate you "stepping up" and giving us a real world glimpse of online business.

I signed up for one of these expensive courses you mentioned Sarah. $2500 seems to be the sweet spot for them 😂. I quit after the second week because it just felt wrong for me and very “fake”.
Then I found people offering the same techniques and ideas for free online- possibly the network of people accessed in the course has some value but the content itself I felt was no different to the free material available. Do your research people don’t get sucked into the hype.
I am happy to be in your “Dropship Club” Sarah ! You are very honest and give amazing value
So glad I found you ... Phew 😅

"Are you going let this uncomfortable truth discourage you or are you going to let it INSPIRE you?"
I'll be honest, I've been watching your videos for months now. I just love the way you describe/explain things, your "know how", your humor, the awesome video/audio editing quality and your tips. I never thought about putting up a print on demand business, but here I am now on my 2nd week of getting started. I have no sales yet (unless you count the one I bought myself to feel the product which just shipped), and I have a long way to go. I have few designs still and am still learning a lot (that won't stop). I am still tweaking things as I learn and will change as required.
So to answer your question above from the video, I will let the uncomfortable truth (which really isn't, there's just more "real lies" out there) INSPIRE me.
    Thanks Sarah!

    Great video Sarah.
Like you, I do not understand how being honest and telling the truth is: "being negative".
If a person follows after lies, they can end up unemployed, homeless, going hungry and starving to death, which makes lies, a threat against people's lives.
In my book, threatening people's lives is being negative. Trying to stop them from speeding onto that bridge that has collapsed in the middle is not.
All you can do is try to be forthright and as succinct and clear possible.
You are a gem for sure!
Thank you for your being honest and truthful.

Very refreshing to hear somebody emphasising that success is achieved by hard work and dedication and that you shouldn't assume that you'll be successful at your first attempt! I am in the process of setting things up to start a dropship/print on demand store and while I would love my first attempt to succeed I am also keeping myself realistic to the (probably high) chance that I will have to do quite a bit of experimenting and possibly even change direction a few times before I (hopefully!) get successful.

This is a great video Sarah. Hubby and I started a print on demand business in August as Auckland was in Level 3 Covid lockdown. We've had a bit more time this year to think instead of scrambling from one social event to the next. We are very realistic about how long it takes for a business to take off but after multiple months using Teespring we are now thinking that your preferred method of using your own store either on Shopify or Etsy is going to be a better option. It seems impossible to get a trust score on Teespring. It's probably great for those already on the platform if they've obtained a trust score because it's a good barrier to entry for new designers.

A dose of reality and authentic truth is always a good idea. I confess, I spent 10s of thousands in credit card debt on many training courses, seminars, and coaching and since November I’ve had 2 failed Shopify stores and beginning to build my third store.
Learn from my mistake, I justified debit because it was in the name of investing in myself and now I’m under water and desperate to succeed at all cost.
Ok I jumped the gun by inadvertently declaring failure here. I have to keep learning and deploying patience.

I have to get a budget together, even though I wanted to jump into POD. When I get budget and designs together I am also hoping I can be successful with it, with in a year. And hope in a year or 2 I can quit my job

Honesty is the best policy. Thank you Sarah Chrisp! I actually found this video very motivational. And yes success only comes after trial and error, lots of errors sometimes. Learn, improve, innovate is key. It took Edison 1,000 trials to discover the light bulb and he is considered to have an average IQ. So no, you don't have to be a genius to run a profitable business.

Very happy to have found you. My opinion is that if you do have great success from the get-go that is actually the worst thing that can happen in many ways. You get cocky and risk the chance of being a business one hit wonder. Almost every successful person has had multiple failures but they learned from their failures and tried and tried again. Look at Edison. How many attempts did he have to make to make the light bulb work? When you give up, you are really giving up on yourself. Have a brief pity party then get up and try again.

I LOVED THIS VIDEO! Girl, I am about to start a store. I would have jumped into this industry 4 times faster, if it wasn't for your videos. Please don't be so hard on yourself. Although you are incredibly inspirational, you have never made me want to quit my job. Instead, you have inspired me to be smart and patient. Patience is actually what I have learned most from you. I have learned how to start this business of mine with close to no money. I have learned how to use free tools too. I have learned everything from your free videos and I would never even think of paying for more until I made some money. Which, you have now affirmed in this video too. You have been such a joy to watch and learn from. I can't speak highly enough about you and the honest feedback you give to all us newbies. I feel like I have avoided so many mistakes by learning from you, but I am aware that I will make mistakes, even if I watch every single video out there. Thank you for who you are. Thank you for the content you share. I wish you so much success. God bless you girl :) Keep shining your authentic self. You inspire us all, but I would never hold you accountable for the success of my business. It is so easy to shift blame. Peeps have to own up to their own failures. Blaming and shaming is just not cool. I really hope you never let those kinds of comments get you down. You are pretty darn cool! Again, thank you for all your epic free content. When I start making money, I can't wait to do your paid course. You are wonderful! Good on you for sharing the hard stuff :)

I believe that in order to get success you have to be persistent and not allow your failures to let you down. There are people who are just naturally gifted and they turn everything they touch into gold, but chances are YOU are not one of them. For the rest of us, mortal people, success is earned by persistence and making baby steps. I believe that it's like a pattern in the universe, that to get success, you have to prove how much you want it. And you prove it with your hard work and persistency. I'm not in a position for any big words, as I only have 3 sales on Etsy and like 10 sales on Teespring, but around 3 months ago, I had Kyan's mentality - I purchased 3 designs from Fiverr, placed FB ads and I expected to make some easy money... and of course I was disappointed. If I have quit back then, I'd never make those sales. In that 3 months time span, I learned a lot, including how to design the shirts on my own. I'm currently learning how to grow Instagram pages, and with just 300 followers I begin to notice higher traffic to my Etsy store. I'm making baby steps every single day and eventually that will lead me somewhere. I know that because looking back just 3 months ago, I laugh at my designs and the strategies I was using, in another 3 months of persistency and hard work, I will probably laugh at where I am today. Sarah, this is my Etsy store if you'd like to take a look and give me your constructive criticism: www.etsy.com/shop/EllyziumClothing
