City normally plays fantastic football, and people always expect City to beat their opponents by a bigger margin of goals.

I think this all falls to Pep's feet. Why? He has now 2x chosen control over creativity by going with Grealish and Silva. Problem is, we lost a good amount of control with both players and so we gave up creativity but got nothing in return just like the NU game. Pep needs to scrap that idea. Play 1 of them along with another winger who has pace and creativity on either side.
Another issue seems to be that the midfield is dropping the proverbial ball in transition or during turnovers. They simply don't have the legs to get back quick enough when playing so high up the pitch which means, in Pep's 3-1-6, whomever is the DM, is completely isolated to cover the entire midfield. Even when this happened with Rodri, he couldnt do it (think of the Chelsea games last season for example) and for Pep to assume that Kova can is simply ridiculous. Maybe prime Ferna or Kante could've done it, but no one that we have currently, including Rodri can do that over the long term.
Lastly, I think it might be a good idea if Pep went back to what worked so well in the Treble season: flat back 4 vs great teams and inverting Stones with lesser ones. Maybe see if Gvardiol can do that inverting role once Ake is back which could make us a little stronger at the back regardless of the midfield setup. Still, things must change bc having only 4 clean sheets in the last 17 games is a major problem if we have any thoughts of winning trophies this season.

@@youdontneedtoknow7027 Everything happening with Pep Guardiola, he has ample of time to set a system without Rodri, had his injury come of in next half of season then it would have been tough

@@christopherwilliams2351they've got no chance this season. Arsenal will comfortably get 94-99 points while city will never get above 90 points
