I feel like a lot of people didn’t give this game a chance because they wanted nioh three and due to that we got a lot of bad reviews talking about the combat not being deep enough. I think the combat is fine and it’s actually really fun. Edit: this game is kinda mid it's mechanics aren't satisfying it's fun but missing the marks in alot of areas. Sekiro, ghost of tsushima, Nioh 2 are far superior. Still a fun game though great game but missing the mark in a lot of areas for me. We need nioh 3

Ya know, the way a player enjoys their own experience in these videos just adds a whole new level of wholesome. Helps the viewer become as immersed as the player is. Not gonna lie, the way you played through this made me wanna watch old school Rurouni Kenshin. xD . Well done!
As someone who is not built for soulslikes this game is great to me. Ghost of Tsushima was a fantastic experience, but was more of an action adventure game than a full rpg. Rise of the Ronin scratches that itch for me. You get tons of gear, more weapon types, character customization and dialogue choices. also helps that it’s set in a great historical era that isn’t covered much in modern entertainment and by that I mean Japan at the cusp of globalization. It was one of my favorite time periods we covered in history class. Either way I am not the best at video games, but always wanted to try and get into souls likes and this game has tons of elements of the combat in it since it’s like a more accessible matchup of nioh and wo long combat. After I beat this game maybe I’ll actually try my luck with wo long since that’s one of the souls likes that I hear doesn’t completely make you lose your will to live. My problem with souls likes as a whole is actually the community. Every person covering these types of games almost make it a mission to actively discourage people from getting into the genre by intimidating them from trying at all. I get they’re hard, but the way the community talks about these types of games and the difficulty of them makes me not want to even try at all. I played maybe 3 hours of Nioh once and yes it was very confusing since nothing is explained and you have to read the tutorials and gameplay systems for like an hour to actually get it, but it isn’t the doom of the world type of annoying cause games have to be fun and just getting wrecked from the first second of play isn’t fun at all.

Midnight mode is end game, so remember them little camps with punkish grunts in some of them? Well now we have special bosses scattered on every single one of them after you complete the game.. all are hella strong and on crack 😭😭 But this tech is something I was cooking for the last few days it’s a hard to pull off like dumb hard wait for tutorial in the future
I was apprehensive about the game at first glance. It looks stiff and a bit off until I actually played it. Now I'm a bit addicted. The combat feels amazing and there are so many options with the different sword styles each weapon has. I'll be playing this for a long while
@@chocolateman2554 if you're bad, yes, the fights drag on. If you use the systems the game gives you like parries, buffs and poison/fire, that's not the case.

Game is great combat wise it’s some of the most fun I’ve had in a while some of the moves are so flashy and effective especially sword and dual swords they get crazy like making fire on the ground crazy or turning into a spinning top in the air I love it
Honestly I seen a trailer where a person used the handgun and katana primarily from PlayStation. That gameplay was fire, but I seen that after the fact. There are other channels other this guys who has great gameplay. Except Gbg has more expertise, the other guy is definitely uses variety and uses all the moves.
Question, 1:20 Isn't that the second follow up attack of the Iai stance? How do you launch that before the 1st attack? Doing the follow up outright looks so much cooler lol

I wait till the small blue light during the ki pulse first starts to show, then push my right stick to the right and X at the same time. Feels good, man. Thank you again, it's more satisfying than any critical attack lol
This is a perfect example of what's wrong with games today .... This game is phenomenal and allows you to express yourself . The east never lost it's touch and this is why skill is better than cheap tactics . You can practically make characters look like anime protagonists with enough effort and learning . People don't really allow themselves to learn how to do stuff like this in the west that often. They lose to a boss 3 times and the first thing they do is look it up on youtube and look for " cheese " methods . Devs in the west got tired of seeing people cheese bosses so they stopped making the games challenging and allow you to mash one button and win on hard difficulty . Japanese games allow you to master skill sets and improve them over time . Technically you can do this in western games that are offline . If you do this stuff online they'll just nerf it and take all the fun of learning out of it . Hopefully that changes soon but for now being OP in games is like a niche category . All games should have the potential for you to do things like this .
Let’s face facts. People still don’t and won’t play this game because of the graphics. They will say it’s meh without fully playing it or by regurgitating review quotes. They won’t experience this level of gameplay because they won’t play it long enough to get to this point. Everything in this video gameplay wise looks fun AF and you can’t tell me it doesn’t. I hope there will be a remake of this game in the future and/or simply a sequel to address the graphics since that’s what will get people to give this a chance. I on the other hand play and enjoy this game. It’s like Sekiro rpg edition, on story mode difficulty to me.
Im fairly certain one of the bigger issues was solved, that being you are able to cancel out of the style switching animations…but im not sure what else was changed, hopefully someone can correct me if im wrong
this is truly impressive I just reached Edo on midnight myself but I never thought about adding gestures into the mix or even turn off the HUD mad respect! for me personally the hardest ones are the bayonet users like Eicchi Shibusawa and Ito
def considering this one if it ever comes to PC like the rest of their games. Definitely a fan of tree/build aspects on this game vs a static/action playthrough that some/other titles may offer. The loot/stance based aspects from NIOH but more simplified loot/tree sounds appealing if it comes to PC with 4k capabilities or can be ran on lower settings on a portable.

Dude, I've been playing the game and this looks like how I've been describing it to a friend of mine. Saying the combat looks like something out of anime.
As a huge fan of Nioh 2 I really hope it gets ported to PC someday. I can wait a year or two, plus it would be best to buy it once with all its DLCs (it's ought to have them). So far, the only thing I'm not 100% sure is the camera angle when locking up on one enemy. Other than that, the combat system is Koei Tecmo/Team Ninja at its finest, but without being a musou game.

The stamina management here is insane 🤯
As a huge fan of Nioh 2 I really hope it gets ported to PC someday. I can wait a year or two, plus it would be best to buy it once with all its DLCs (it's ought to have them). So far, the only thing I'm not 100% sure is the camera angle when locking up on one enemy. Other than that, the combat system is Koei Tecmo/Team Ninja at its finest, but without being a musou game.
