I use custom dye linen/cotton fabric here👍 We get the fabric from our local vendor in LA!

Im not certain what thread hea using but you can buy sashiko thread i think its pretty simillar also if your tight on money cause That thread can be ezpensive you can also use floss

It looks warm enough - he's using sheets of down (I don't know if it's synthetic) between the base material and the patchwork. I think this could be worn under overcoats or jackets in heavy/rainy weather.
