Innate Goodness Why did Srinivas trust Veerapan when all that the latter did, through the years, clearly showed him undeserving of such consideration? Did he let conviction cloud reason? Hope overtake common sense? Hard to tell but, if one looks at his brief life the answers are all there. His belief in Satyanveshan was absolute. This was reflected in the manner in which he chose rehabilitation over reproach. He realized that circumstances of their hard life in the forest made them take to poaching and smuggling and he tried to ameliorate their suffering by involving them in developmental projects and providing them opportunities to work for a living. Veerappan's own family members were beneficiaries of Srinivas's generosity. He employed Veerappan's sister Maari in the dispensary and tried his best to counsel Veerappan's brother Arjuna to abandon his outlaw existence. His death is a testimony to his commitment to the innate goodness of man. Award of Kirti Chakra The State Government announced a reward of Rs.1 lakh and recommended him for the Presidential Gallantry Award. He was given a State funeral with the gun salute and police honors. On 26th January, 1992, Srinivas was posthumously awarded the second highest peace time gallantry award the Kirti Chakra, received by his mother from the President of India at the Defence Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapathi Bhavan. For Srinivas, the most fitting tribute came from the fact that grief over his death was was most palpable at Gopinatham village where he was seen not a mere government functionary but as a social reformer. His presence looms larger than life in the area and still watches over the villagers.
He was shot at detention in police station. This was told by a retired police officer. I would say the police of Karnataka and Tamilnadu should be investigated on the torturing and possible killings of innocent people.
Good one. The politicians who were also the culprits and part of Veerappan growth, their names never came out and am sure they enjoyed the money from smuggled sandalwood and tusks. Innocent people in india hardly get justice which is sad.
Actually big shots are behind veerapan ..he was just made a scapegoat. How can he sell so many tonnes of sandalwood or tusks that too..import to other countries without the help from govt. Yes he has done wrong things but he is not to be blamed alone. Many are hidden behind him who made crores or millions

i still remember the time when rajkumar was kidnapped and the entire of Karnataka was burning chilling to remember those days... as always great video!
In the whole story I only felt sad for the officer Sreenivas, what a gem of a person, caring for the people, he could have finished Veerappan, but his goodness did him in, and what a vile person was Veerappan to do this horrible, these kind of people invoke worst in the law enforcement groups and that;'s what happened. People like veerappan are weak as they use unnecessary violence to subjugate
DCF srinivas murder happened due to the misunderstanding of srinivas by veerappan, as he is uneducated forest man, he let anger take over him instead of thinking clearly. Srinivas was also too adamant of meeting veerappan in the forest unarmed, though the local villagers who were childhood friends of veerappan clearly warned srinivas many times not to trust veerappan & insisted srinivas not go to the forest to meet him.

Award of Kirti Chakra
The State Government announced a reward of Rs.1 lakh and recommended him for the Presidential Gallantry Award.
Sensitive and risky topic to narrate… well nicely handled 👏👏bold enough to tell the truth on police brutalites🧐keep it up your work.. long way to go😊
😇❤️🙏🏼
Nice knowledge keep it upto yourself
He was shot at detention in police station. This was told by a retired police officer.
I would say the police of Karnataka and Tamilnadu should be investigated on the torturing and possible killings of innocent people.
There was a commission set up to investigate! But they were all given clean sheet!
@@Keerthihistory Fuk that, if you believe that then I don’t know what to say to you.
I didn’t even took my eyes off and this video was really engaging. Love your work ❤ Keep rocking 🎉
Excellent coverage Keerthi Ma'am. Very great narration

Excellent narration madam... Lots of love from Odisha... Jay Jagannath
Thanks for creating this video. Most of the details I didn't know. This is highly informative and I understand very difficult to package in an 18 minute video. It would also be helpful for viewers if you do a podcast with someone who may be an expert or have seen things even more closely.
😇❤️🙏🏼
Keerthi u r a wonderful narrator.
Veerappan did not honor Srinivas' belief.
In turn, veerappan was let down by an insider. Karma!
Exactly!
Excellent hardwork behind every single video 👏👏👏👏👏

lots of love for you and your amazing content dear sister💜💜💜
அருமையான பதிவு கீர்த்தி. வாழ்த்துக்கள்
😇❤️🙏🏼
In the whole story I only felt sad for the officer Sreenivas, what a gem of a person, caring for the people, he could have finished Veerappan, but his goodness did him in, and what a vile person was Veerappan to do this horrible, these kind of people invoke worst in the law enforcement groups and that;'s what happened. People like veerappan are weak as they use unnecessary violence to subjugate
Yep🥲
True … but I wouldn’t call it goodness but foolishness which later led to the deaths of common people and policemen
The elephants?
Veerappan sister suicided due to the rumors between him and Srinivas..
Veerapaan... the demon Forest slayer of Karnataka 👹😈🖤. Great story keerthi. Not indian but have heard about this monster. I'm a big gangster/underword buff. Stories like this just draw me in for some reason 😅
I personally feel sadder about the elephants which were killed and had got no attention than humans!🥺
💔🥲
@@Keerthihistoryuh, think there's a mistake there. He took those ivories from dead elephants. No elephants killed. Verappan was so fond of the jungle and animals. He evan can recognise bird songs. It was the Forest Dept that spinned false cases against him. Get the facts right.
@@kumarsaravana4838 wow !. Elephants died :D , Do you know how many he killed , if only dead elephants ivory, then none would have done any business with him.
@@apsarathi1 well, about ivory, not that much of it. Verappan was familiar of the jungle and animals. The best part was, he fond of those animals. He never did kill any elephants. Just listen to news and assume that was true is totally naive. Get a life, man...
I also kill chickens daily, cosmetics & leather companies also killing animals for our luxury, millions of animals tested for medicines. We also abuse animals by gagging them in zoo's and enjoying it, used them for our religion traditions, humans caused the extinction of many species. He's just like one of us.
Your the only one who follow the tradition in every in your video.
I like your way of talking and way of you looking ( saree) I be a great fan of you since when I have see your videos in past 1 month.
great work ❤
Good evening ma'am I'm 18 years old student and inspiring by your videos since so many days and when I feel low I watch your videos to motivate myself

😇❤️🙏🏼
At first I thought that why is the need of telling the story of veerappan when we have a long rage of history but watching this video I realise that it is also a point of justice for the village people mischief by the police officers.
😇❤️🙏🏼
Ur unbiased narration is more than awesome. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for exposing the atrocities done by police dept
Well presented keerthi

Without local support, a criminal can't grow.
That what criminal officer did
Well explained mam🔥🔥🔥💥
Shame on STF to celebrate Veerappan encounter. Infact he was a mystery to them. The STF actually to be punished for torturing innocent people

Reality was well explained both states need to be shame as they kept common people in front hunted a Maveeran. I too heard lot of good things about him from the people.
