What surprises me about Americans. It is their complete lack of realisation that they don't have realistic gun laws. They keep quoting an amendment that is so out of date and lacking in reality of the current times. I'm from Australia and so far the US is up to its 22nd school shooting this year. Australia, on our school shootings would require a millennia to get anywhere near that number.
Yes free water in restaurants is usually tap water BUT it is always filtered. Drinking filtered tap water in America is not dangerous. It is very common to just buy a Britta bottle (bottle with filter) and just drink tap water out it.

In Kazakhstan there is the same weird thing that you have to be 21 to buy alcohol. And about taking shoes off at the airport - I had the same story when I traveled from Germany; everyone, whose shoes have high heels (even 2 cm), has to take it off.

Watching some american reality shows, yt channels and series and knowing some Americans Im loosing my faith that free of stupid jokes, arrogance and 'pretending to be funny' language and behaviour can still exist. I do notice something the same in Russia and the United States is the young people wear pants with holes in pants and clothing. I am 68 years old and this is not acceptable in my generation.

East Asian and Latino immigrants never bother learning English, and can hardly speak it, even after living there for decades. 3. With the exception of New York City and to a lesser extent Chicago and Bay Area, you hardly see people out and about, because they'll all in their cars.
Im japanese and I think most of us would freak out if we know that they have to pay extra charge in Russia. I thought It was natural that we could continue to refill untill we feel satisfied. So it happens in japan to order juice and then ask for " water" many times.

I mean there're dozens of videos on youtube like "How to kill exams like Harvard student" or "What's like to write an assignment in Stanford". Credit card and credit score are two different things. You don't have to have a credit card to rent a house or even rent a car. It helps yes but it's not a MUST have. You can rent a car with a debt card.

In America the legal drinking age is 21 because it is believed that you’re brain isn’t fully developed until your mid twenties, so there are restrictions on the age you can drink. (Correct me if I’m wrong)

as an american… 1. i don't like ranch dressing. i just don't understand the appeal 2. i am eternally grateful for free refills/free water 3. credit cards can certainly be frustrating, but useful as well; i have mixed feelings about it lol 4. it honestly is just a legal barrier that many people don't adhere to. it doesn't pose much of a problem 5. IT'S VERY ANNOYING but i don't know how to live using the metric system 6. it's bizarre, definitely

I think they changed the minimum age for alcohol from 18 to 21 to reduce teens drunk driving. I was grand-fathered in because my state, Louisiana, was one of the last states to raise the age limit and I was 18 at the time so I could drink alcohol at 18 years old. If you're in the military, you can drink alcohol in the base's clubs at 18 years old.

Also try blue chesse dressing with your hot wings, veggies, and pizza crust; It's much better then ranch. "Shoes off" because of the shoe bomber. How many yards is 10'...Hahaha!! The credit card thing is not true. You can do fine without one. The credit card companies want you to think that so you can go in debt.

You actually can rent a car without a credit card. A debit card has all the same protections without having to go into debt/slavery.
