I do not notice my commentary being interfered by the music, nor did any viewer so far. Anyhow my mother died in 1981 of cancer. See my other clips of Friesland in 1945 right after the war.

I was married in Franeker in 1968, and really like the video.
I am a Canadian and was working in Europe at the time.
    Nice memories.

Mooi video, I studied the history of Netherlands, and I appreciate the hard working builders, farmers, and how well disciplined they are. The pride and love the Hollanders have for there mooi Netherlands. God Bless You:)

My Grandfather, Klaas Fokkema, came from Franeker. He left after his mandatory service in the Dutch Army in Indonesia. He settled in New Zealand where he met a Kiwi girl. My Father has been there, I have not been yet. As immigrants, our surname was changed to Folkema upon arrival to other countries, such as USA, New Zealand, etc.

+Timothy Folkema . Thanks for your memories. Indeed many Dutchmen settled in your wonderful country, amongst them my friends.

    A Big Tip.
When making your videos is to NOT NOT NOT play music at the same time as there is spoken voice.
    .
People with hearing impediments are not able to decipher the words from the music and both are lost on such individuals.
It is important not to discrimniate against hearing impaired people.
Note that even normal-hearing individuals can have trouble understanding what is said at such times.
    .
Born in 1902, what year did your mother pass away; RIP.
    Just wondering.
    .
    .
    Cheers.
    from,
    del-boy.
