    I wish one of my 5 doctors would have learned this. I had to figure it all out on my own. I had to retire at age 53 due to Folate Trapping. I'm 59 now and I'm healthier than I was as a 25 year old Navy Diver!

    I'm homozygous in DHFR, MTRR, and NAMPT. I'm heterozygous on MS, MTHFR(C677T) and "Slow" on both SNPs of COMT. From all of that, you'd think that I would be sensitive to methyl folate but I'm not. I LOVE it! I believe that many people who are sensitive are low in Glycine, which helps buffer excess methyl-groups. Plus, MF helps produce SAMe so there's a benefit to COMT activity.
