  • In this weeks video we head west along the snowy (!) north Spanish coast, checking out some geysers (not the Danny Dyer kind), before heading inland in search of bears. We sample some epic local culture, and produce, in an Asturias cider house before a trip through the incredible Ribeira Sacra, whose jaw dropping terraced vineyards provide the backdrop for one of our most scenic drives ever. After that, we head south, towards the Portuguese border, with our final night in Spain, for now, spent a few minutes walk from the evocative partly submerged Roman ruins in Porto Quintela. Enjoy 🍻

It’s beautiful and also really varied too. Something for everyone. As someone who’d only ever experienced a beach resort years ago it’s been a real eye opener!

Hey Steph & Chris Certainly looks a cracking trip 😃
We find the journey can outdo the destination quite a few times too 😉
    Stay Safe 😜👍

Great stuff. Really enjoyed this one Chris and Steph.
You’ve visited some fantastic locations along the way and the landscapes are so beautiful.
Love your positivity too - infectious.
Can I ask - how long can you last off grid electric wise with your set up?
    We’re just planning our configuration.
Cheers guys - looking forward to Portugal. 👍👍👍

Hi cheers for the comment 🍻 Our Standard solar panel that came with the van keeps our fridge and lights etc ticking over. We also have 2 Jackery Explorer 240’s for other bits & bobs (tv, dvd, kindles, switch, phone charging). Because the Jackery’s can charge off mains, a compatible folding solar panel, or the 12v in the van when we’re driving, that’s more than enough to keep us going usually. You can get larger Jackerys, the reason we have 2 smaller ones is we already had one before we went full time. We also carry a spare toilet cassette just in case emptying is an issue, but tbh that’s not a problem in Europe (so far!). 🍻👍

@@thelittlestnomad5960 ah cheers - great info and really helpful - we definitely want to do more off than on grid so a Jackery sounds the solution - we will have a small solar and an ok lithium to start with as standard but we’re going to need a boost sometimes too. Spare cassette - great idea too 👍👍👍.
      Safe trips 👍👍👍
