It was already an issue with Origins that got sidestepped in the two games that followed, so it's weird as heck that Mirage ends up committing the same sin again, but...sliding down a rope with your bare hands at that speed is gonna shred your hands into a bloody mess.
I think this could be an great idea if Basim's health drops while using a zipline. Not a lot but maybe 1% (of the total health) for every seconds he slides since he is using his hands. This will increase the complexity of the game. People have to avoid using it when escaping with a low health. Also, maybe a hand shaking animation, similar to limping after a long jump, which will delay the speed to a certain extent and will highlight that also he is a trained assassin, he can get hurt like others and add up to the concept of being a human and not some demigod.
Mirage looks so similar to revelations I mean you can see the comparison I gotta give credit for the team to really look back at the old games and Implement Those features that we miss and love!!
Also, I believe the red smoke is dumb since red light having longest wavelength will make enemies from far to spot it, specially if on roof tops. Unless they're planning to implement the concept that although smoke can make you escape it will increase your notoriety level.
I always thought that the parkour in Mirage is bad , but compared to revelations , it seems… a parkour that is not perfect but basic and compared to valhalla and odyssey it is very good but not how it was meant to be.
Revelations took a similar amount of time to make and was done so in 2011, not 2023. Ironically, although its 12 years older, it's parkour is more layered than mirage with the hookblade. Though Mirage feels similar in many aspects, it's story is non existent and dull. Revelations has some of the best story telling in the series.
I can see why mirage is not as much detailed as Valhalla I guess the art style they wanted to make as closer as a paint especially the way Baghdad looks and the colors of the smock bombs everything looked more like an art than a realistic details..

Mirage has better graphics, and somewhat smoother movement on parkour, and that's it. Revelations has better gameplay, story, combat, assassination, equipments, and my most favourite part when using Axe as weapon or took an Axe from the enemy that Ezio can actually charge to throw an Axe and one hit kill everyone that's the neat part.

What makes this a good idea is that this promotes more hype for the game. Cuz am not sure if ur aware of this, but ALOT of the community doesn't like the rpg style implemented into the past 3 games. So seeing this is more reassuring and builds up hype. While yes there are unrealistic abilities like the focus assassination skill, it's better than an entire rpg styled AC game. So imo this isn't "sad" in the slightest. If anything, I see it as a good idea. + it'll bring in views like crazy for those who are really intrigued on wat the game will look like.

@@heyo8435 I played it and felt too slower than brotherhood. Both combat and running. Climbing is a little bit faster though because of the hookblade. So it doesn't matter whoever said what in the game it's us player who decide the difference.
@@toyeager6234 theres literally no difference in terms of running/walking animation since they both are using the same engine. Just like Rogue to Black Flag and Oddysey to Origins. Though there is some differences on combat/playstyle between them. I played AC2, Brotherhood and Revelation many times and again theres no difference other than traversals like the lift, zipline and hookblade. There are minor improvements to the combat but the double counter kill remains the same, which mean the old assets are re used and merged with some new ones. And i meant in lore Ezio not the ingame Ezio (His speed).

I used to move so fast after killing someone in brotherhood but in revelations ezio feels slower and sometimes he can't counter kill some of the foes. And also he takes more time to stand up and run after jumping down from a rooftop It's because he got older and passed his prime
5:33 that combat segment was so cool. I know its extremely far fetched to expect mirage to get somewhere close to that level of combat detail and depth but here’s hoping it isn’t like odyssey’s or Valhalla’s 😂
