Thank you so much for putting this up. I'm a big Craig Morton fan and to find those special moments where he was putting on a show, are just GLORIOUS to me, ha. Good stuff!
For about ten minutes of game time, Craig Morton came off the bench and turned into Dan Fouts! And that was the ball game, basically. As a longtime Bronco fan, this game confirms my suspicion that Red Miller was fired because he refused to commit to old Craig Morton. In '81, Morton's final season, he had a career year playing for his old teammate Dan Reeves. Love the Orange Crush!
@Nick Sambides Jr.: yea, there was bad blood between Red and Morton after Superbowl 12. Red tried replacing Morton as early as 1978. 1979, I believe Norris Weese started the season but got benched. 1980, Matt Robinson started the season but was benched by game 4.
This was an impressive comeback by the Broncos and Craig Morton's finest hour. Everything went right for the Broncos in the 3rd Qtr, while the Seahawks couldn't stem the tide. Mile High Stadium had a magical mystic because of the fans enthusiasm.
The man that Rob Lytle handed the ball to,on what would be the game winning touchdown,I believe that man passed away not long after this game. What a great gesture from Rob Lytle
heartbreaking loss for my Seahawks was a difference between the Seahawks going to the playoffs or the Broncos at year Denver always got over on us the orange crush defense just a little too tough for my Seahawks and those days. Craig Morton show that he still had something left and the orange crush defense kept giving him a short field after Craig Martin drove length of the field to cut it to 34-17. Orange Crush defense did it again
This is the earliest Marv Albert NBC NFL game I've seen. I wonder if there is any from NBC and Marv from 1977 and 1978? Marv did the NFL for NBC from 1977-1997. Before that he was the voice of the New York Giants from 1973-76.
Plus no complaints on playing on turf back then. Players just hated it period but it were several stadiums that they complained about like the Astrodome, Busch Stadium, Soldier Field, and Foxboro. Players during that time just hated playing at these stadiums. The Cowboys said in an 1979 Texas Monthly article that they hated playing at the Astrodome and Busch Stadium. It was before the Vet got complaints in the early 90s about its super hard surface.
I really hated that "Running back by committee" approach by Red Miller. Here he had a stud RB in Otis Armstrong, whom he relegated to nothing more than a message carrier.
Except that Armstrong had a neck injury that had people fearing that he would be paralyzed. Of course, playing him less doesn't totally solve that problem. He was a good running back, for sure, when he got a chance to run.
@@debbiehenson1096 : lol! Tebow was throwing balls right into the turf in front of his receivers. The only pass he could manage was the deep ball...that was it.
I had some of those old school box NFL kits that came with helmet, football, and team uni. I had several different ones, but my absolute favorite was my Steve Largent one. Had it on every gameday.

Actually, Morton began 82 as the Bronco starter, but was benched after the players' strike in favor of Steve DeBerg-setting the stage for Elway

That's exactly right.
I am grateful for the chance to see it, just wish the whole game was here. Its missing about the last 3 minutes.
But at least the best part is here
Thanks for posting, my dad is a Broncos fan and always talked about this game, now I can see it too!
Just caught this one today…. Another great game in a fantastic era of NFL football. Thanks for sharing once again, I genuinely appreciate it!
I was at this game with my brother. Amazing comeback.
John Elway wasn't the only #7 who could bring the Broncos back.
The greatest comeback in Denver Broncos history was led by a #7 but not John Elway but Craig Morton
One of the Greatest games on YT. Thanks Richard.

They had a 34-10 lead. It wasn’t the Orange Crush. The Hawks just gave this one away. Zorn was one of the most erratic qbs ever
Back when both teams had cool uniforms.
Weese only lived to be 44. A name you don't hear often, but it's good to see him living on.
Man, that Orange Crush was great. If only their offense had been nearly as good.
Well giving up 34 isn’t exactly great D

nice one rich, thanks again!!
MOMENTUM,MILE HIGH MAGIC & MORTON
I miss the NFL of the 70s and the 80s...bright, Primary colored uniforms, kick and punt returns, poorly maintained grass fields...
Exactly, real football on real fields! Defensive was allowed and the bomb pass was more exciting cause it was thrown less often

Good come back by the broncos unfortunately Dolbin gets injured. He was one of the reasons Denver went to the super bowl.
He was the Broncos' answer to George Sauer of the Jets -- great possession receiver. Good, good hands, ran a sharp route. You are related to him?
@@nicksam2 yes

Jensen was actually the stud if they would have given him the ball more.

Fast question,Marv Albert & John Brodie 4 NBC, correct?
Not Brodie. Thus guy was a former receiver for Broncos. Mike something.....??????

Whatta hairpiece !
Sea hawks the silver calf
Zorn had an arm
Norris Weese was that generations version of Tim Tebow. Great mobile QB but a horrible passer.
Tebow was gr8, he was blackballed out of the league because of his Christian faith.
@@debbiehenson1096 …..he was bad
