The best part about Ryan's rug joke is that during this specific taping, Ryan and Colin had really gone back and forth HARD with the stick/nose and bald jokes. So the rug joke was just perfect timing.
There's also a slight reference to "Ice Hole" also during the taping: Colin: "When I said "stick with a big nose", what I meant was an asshole" Ryan: "Ice hole!"
How is Colin so good at this? We tried this out recently with our improv group, and I was at a complete loss! I finally guessed who I was, but was *way* off when it came to what I did! It's seriously hard, even without the time pressure and a live audience waiting for the laughs.
The improve of asking questions is knowing how to to give hints that are < 25% of the answer. The reporters also need to pay close attention to what the other ones say to play off of them, else there's not enough material to deduce anything. "Ranger" "picnic basket" "rug" (any other hints I missed) is a fair shake.
"do you in the woods" was a big one once you hear that, you know it's about bears (plus the previously mentioned Ranger reference and picnic basket narrow it down to Yogi Bear) and what are you going to do about the rug + tired of sharing the basket gives away that yogi did something to another bear aka Boo Boo
@@92brunod it's a play on the joke does a bear shit in the woods Looking back on my comment, I worded it wrong. Combine that with the Ranger reference and the picnic basket and Colin knows he's the bear.
I’m convinced they see the list before the show, so they have a rough estimate from some 5 options. Once someone asks about the rug, picnic basket, and woods he’s certain that it’s yogi bear.
The best part of this game.......when Wayne, Brad, and Ryan see what is on the paper and start laughing before even starting....then they casually look over at Colin and he smiles too. You know these guys love what they do!
