My little boy just turned 2 and he is OBSESSED with your videos! We have a beef herd ourselves. So he eats, sleeps, and breathes farming. Every night he starts running around asking for "Farmer Tyler." Thank you for these videos!
Can only speak for myself but Iove watching the hay bales & the cow movements & the daily chores on the ranch. It's never boring & I really appreciate all the different camera angles etc that make every single video interesting. Thanks Tyler
@Jeroldlynn...after the bull calves are casterated they are called steers. They become mild tempered and are usually sold for beef and the meat becomes more tender. Bull meat is tough.
Hi FTR, Greetings from Ireland. Love your videos and appreciate the work that you do to make them. Looking forward to the next one. Best wishes - Paul.
130K! Nice!! Happy to see that your channel continues to grow. I enjoyed the update on all the goings on at the range. Hope you and your family are healthy and happy ❤
Good morning FT! I’m so happy the haying is almost complete, big load off your mind. Great news too on the blind calf getting better, as well as the others. Things are moving right along for you, great vid. God’s blessings!❤❤❤
Took me a good minute to get caught up on what's been going on the ranch, I'm honestly glad I've found this channel realizing that it's actually not as expensive to start learning how to weld, how to setup fence in different ways, so many things! Have you considered setting up mock hornet nests around the barn area and any other area's they've been really active? I've heard it's a great way to help deter them from constantly making nests in the area and after a while they don't really become much of a problem. Honestly amazing how that lil ol tractor can move those large bales, but it's not givin up any time soon!
Hay bales safely collected and stored are money in the bank! Great work, Tyler! I'm always hoping that you will continue your 'Jubilee' tractor rebuild. From Evelyn in Minnesota
Just throwing this out. After years of Vineyard work this fair skinned boy developed Melanoma's on the tops of my ears. (to much Sun exposure). Luckily caught in time. Now a Wide Brim Hat is standard. Like an Indiana Jones style works good.
Good to see the cattle are recovering from their pink eye episodes. I'm always amazed at the work you do with the 8N. I wonder what the purchase price was back in the day? Worth every penny!
Sure the chute is easier (and arguably more humane). Using it also plants the seed in the calf’s mind “this is what happens sometimes here, some time when you are sick or I am trying to keep you well.”
It always amazes me to see little man 8n lifting 4x6 round bales, don’t see how you keep the back wheels on the ground,I can see that you have weights on the back wheels just how much weight is on each side?Great video!🐕🐄
When we first moved into south bank farm the neighbours both gave us 300 6ft round bales of hay they had far too many of them so we took them and it was bloody good hay and we got a field of straw barley straw 6ft bales as well so that helped us greatly we had about 50 left after the winter was over
… Looking forward to remodeling the corral area… Hope you put a lot of bud box strategy to work when you do that… Might want to look at a few of the Ranching Sodak videos to see how the cow whisperer does it…
Hope you don't get demonetized, one of the ranchers I watch had his channel _destroyed_ by RUclips for showing - just the first part of! - a castration.
Sir I was just curious well cuz I just don't know the exact answer. Your main job definitely don't fall under ease of conduct - why do you do these videos IN ADDITION to all the excellent hard work your already doing. I was told there's money after a certain amount of subscribers just don't seem like that'd be a significant reason. Lol so lemme add another burden to your day and ask...all in all tho. Good for you and yours. Sincerely a random RUclipsr who happened across your videos and has no association with cows or farming ( CDL myself) and was impressed.
❤Always a pleasure to spend the day with you. I have a question ? I lived in Vermont for many years, and always seen those round bales in shrink wrap, Im not a farm girl and at that time of my life I never thought to ask anyone on those big dairy farms, but now I wonder. I live in Southwest Florida now, learning alot from u-tube and your channel. Do they wrap them in other parts of the U.S.? I haven't seen it on the few ranches I follow.
Some parts of the world would have difficulty in making dry hay , not enough sunshine/drying weather so the best thing is to wrap or cling film the bales, also can be stored outside.Hope that helps, from Wales.😊🏴
I enjoy your videos Tyler; they remind me of the days years back working with the calves and yes Pinkeye issues with my bull. Had to give 45 ml and that was a lot of jab sites. Is that crested wheat grass bales. Rog/Iowa.
I grew up on a sheep ranch and I must say that putting on the castration bands was the closest I ever felt to being cruel to the animals. Is it any different with cattle?
Good morning Tyler. Pink eye. I was watching another channel, Sonne Farms and they were injecting their calves to prevent pink eye. Have you tried that approach?
@@CurrentChoices What is the role of a lead steer? He's not a pet. He won't be sent down the road. Does he provide any protection for the ladies? Do the cows follow him?

Its so nice to watch a channel with out all the drama.
Congrats on 130,000 subscribers!!!
Please stay, hydrated in this blistering heat. Take care of yourself and have a good 4th. Thanks.
Definitely 💯💧

Thank you for showing a close up of the banding and ear tag process.
Do all male cattle have the BAND put on, or is it selective?
Happy Fourth of July to Everyone at FTR !! Be Safe 🎇
That’s a strong little 8N! Well built loader too!
Bet the ones in bull pen will be glad to get back to steer pasture.
May you and your family have a great 🇺🇸Independence Day.🇺🇸
Love how informative you are about daily life on the farm. I enjoy your explanations ….you are caring farmer.❤
Yeah, he’s wonderful 😊😊x
Thanks for the ranch update, FTR.
I think it's fair to say I have chute envy. I'd use it too for a calf. Sure you can walk, but when you have a Ferrari you drive! :)
Hi FTR, Greetings from Ireland. Love your videos and appreciate the work that you do to make them. Looking forward to the next one. Best wishes - Paul.
I am glad the yearlings are feeling better.
So happy to see you getting so much use out of the squeeze shoot! Glad hay went well for you . Rivets sons are cute and smart ❤
It hot at the ranch...Summer Day's and the chores must go on...
Yuuup, even on the 4th. of July !!🇺🇸
I'm glad to hear that the young calf pink-eye is getting alot better!
Good morning. Stay cooled and hydrated. 😊

I don't ask questions I watch you videos and enjoy them
So happy that-the pirates can go back in the herd. Learned a lot today, thanks!
Thank you for another nice video. Very relaxing. 😊😊😊

Keep up the good work taking care of your cattle. So happy to see them recovering from pink eye. Stay cool and have a great July 4th.
It's the banding that hurts, but you do it quickly and efficiently.
I put my hand over that part, and the part were he puts pink eye powder in their eyes. I just find it queasy for me.😊

Your 100% right on that table. All their good for is if you have to check their hooves for hoof rot and need to doctor them.
Man, that 8N is a trooper! Just looking at the front tires made me safety squint. 😂
Thankyou

Stay cool. It’s gonna be an absolute scorcher for the next week plus for us Californians
Heading to 117 in the North State later this week.
another winner thanks, Happy 4th
Hi Tyler it’s your channel you can do what ever you want I think keep up the good work ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The little tractor that could.
I hope you are safe from the wild fires! 🙏
GOOD AFTERNOON TYLER
Excellent episode 😊😊😊x
As always, an enjoyable video. Way to go FT.
Hey 👋🏽 Tyler., Glad to see you out and about, Enjoy your 4th of July. I will be staying in most of the day, it’s to Hot for me 7-2-2024❤

Thank you for the video
I’ve been dreaming of a …spin-a-calf . Calf crush . But your crush is better than mine having the side crush works very well
Thank you
Ever notice, as males, we're of only
Can’t wait to buy your “ pinkeye pirate patch “ T Shirts …. lol , just a thought.
Great start to my day! Thanks Tyler! Stay cool!😎
@4:44, another satified customer
Great video!!! We really enjoy your videos!!!
Happy 4th of July to everyone ⭐️⭐️🍔🌭
Thanks Tyler. ☺️
you need a bell wrapper for your hay
I think the table is more for branding as well as nuetering
Thx
You can make some minions like a farmer does here in Nebraska. Such a great site to see.

Your calves look really good
With the excessive heat how is your herd doing?
❤

What about the bottle calfs have you still got them
what are the bottle calves
Hay recently here in Australia made it to 465 American dollars for 2200 pounds , thanks to a drought
What temps are you dealing with?..
Here in the inland empire/Riverside its over 100..😓😓😓
I"m guessing you are going to have a maintenance issue on the 8N loading 4x6 bales. I would just make 4x5s for sale if you make extra in future years.
How are bottle calf going
You most likely break a spindle on the tractor it happened to my Ford 860 tractor 😂
I got space ha ha
Nah I want to keep my 2 little friends, make my mommy proud and grow up to be a strong and handsome bull😮😮😮
Who has the better calves out of the two bulls?
Whats up with the cats during hay season?
Can a new born calf be banded so soon? I thought they had to drop first
Why don't you take some of the extra balls over the winter pasture and the steer pasture so you don't need to move them twice???
Don't say it! "One day I'm gonna..." 😬
Im wondering is the hay can spontaneously combust if so many are stacked together. Is that possible?
If the hay was bailed too wet, it can start fire. FTR has a moisture probe and is cautious about this
Hi! I was wondering where you got the hay bracket for your 8N tractor? Was it homemade or bought! Just curious.😊
I built it several years ago. Thanks!
Ok, thanks! My hubby wants to build him one. We were just wondering.
May want to consider vaccinating the herd & calves for pink eye.
💖💖💖💖💖
What is Buddy's position or role on the ranch?
Lead steer....
@@CurrentChoices What is the role of a lead steer? He's not a pet. He won't be sent down the road. Does he provide any protection for the ladies? Do the cows follow him?
The side table can accidentally harm the cow. I saw it happen on another farm. Probably inexperience using it.
#120👍🏼 First!
SQUATCH-ington State here💐
Whats a bale of hay worth out your way ?
Have you ever use a wagyu bull in the herd?
Your font tires on the 8N look really low in pressure when you move those big bales. Maybe you should check them. Love your channel.
All this work, so that I can purchase a 1 pound package of ground beef.
you never talk about the money side of things
He normally does after selling the calves. I really is not any of our business what the dollars are that he makes; or looses.
Well you finally said something that is right
???
💖💖💖💖🙏
@ftr how are you
So Tyler, don't you need to be concerned about rain hitting those bails? Just wondering.
No rain in Norcal except in winter and early spring so they will be used by then
@@JefferyFlynn thanks.
Yup.. that moma cow might have other ideas..
