I had this game for the GBC and *I LOVED THIS GAME.* As confusing and hard to play as it was, it was one of the 6 or so games I had at the time, I I persevered.
This was the game that made me realise as a child that not all video games are enjoyable, I told myself it was cause I loved the film but it never worked😅
I remember repeatedly getting stuck on that drawing water level (as did a friend) but then once I got through that the game was over in like a single morning.
Tapped instantly, had this game when I was younger and only ever got past the first are once then failed in the firey bit and got stuck again. Played it on PC and could never figure out how to switch characters, none of the buttons seemed to work and there just... Wasn't a tutorial. I know there is one, but we didn't have one! It was one of those games not even the parents could complete. I spent hours trying to make it work, such memories. At least it didn't crash on launch like The Emperor's New Groove did! Edit: the first area is entirely unknown to me this is so funny, how on earth did we get past the tutorial then get completely and utterly stuck with no idea what the controls are? I remember the fruit but I've never seen that feed menu in my life! I mostly remember trying to figure out how to become the "bird" and perching the "monkey" on the big guy and then being able to do exactly nothing, wandering a valley trying to figure out how to get out so I could escape over a river of fire

I loved this game and the movie it was based on just because I was obsessed with dinosaurs in general. Hell my mom even got me Dino Crisis but I was like, 7 so I was too scared to play it 🤦🏿♀️
Me and my sister used to play this on the ps1 with no memory card and used to have to leave it on all night/day while we were at school, the PlayStation used to get so hot😅 I remember we got so far in the game and then my mum turned it off one day and we were devastated, never did complete it! mad throwback! I forgot about this game!
Don't you dare make this a Patreon exclusive. I've seen the movie too. I liked the noises the egg stealing dinosaur makes. I don't think lemurs or any primates existed when dinosaurs were around. You can ride on my back. Oh now you tell us 🤦♂! THEY'RE ALREADY DEAD! CHARGE! Grass wasn't invented but it was around 70 million years ago.
Sometimes I wonder if the people naming dinosaurs are _intentionally_ trying to make them difficult to pronounce. Really? You want to name it "Pachycephalosaurus?" That's... helpful.
I know we need to be balanced, but this is honestly one of the worst games I've ever seen on 'worst games ever', which is pretty damning. It's utterly without charm.
Dinos ARE NOT dead. Now, The GIANT prehistoric ones we NORMALLY think of are.. ALTHOUGH we have PLENTY of modern dinos today. ANY: Lizards, reptiles, (Avians) birds AND the DODO CAME BACK!! Mind you, it's not the same as the ANCIENT one. It's a WHOLE new DODO species!

As someone who played this both as a kid 20 years ago and on an emulator 20 minutes ago, I can confirm that this game is an...interesting experiment.
