RULES EDIT: Grisly Trophy - up there for worst worded equipment is a 'once per battle use' unless you've.... already used it..which..would..which...means it's .... write better. 6:50 - Can no longer combine 'Reposition' & 'Dash' to climb - So the heavy gunner shouldn't be able to get all the way up to the top vantage and would instead be on the floor below (arguably better in terms of cover but less cinematic-ally cool)
Also, the Overrun is being scored wrongly. You don't need to kill 3APL worth of enemies, you just need to #1 kill an enemy (regardless of their APL) while you're in enemy territory, then #2 have 3APL worth of operatives who have scored #1 and are still in enemy territory.
Loved the video! They always make my day! Will you be doing a Hivestorm Battle report using the cannon and everything in the future? Can't wait to see more!
first missplay at 6:55, terrain connected to the vantage point doesn't obscure, then at 8:12 you don't gain accurate when firing from a vantage point if the target isn't on a Engage order
Ah this might be because I'm using Loyalist models but the obscurity is because they're Nemesis Claw not because of the terrain. But glad we accidentally played the accurate rule correctly 😅 possibly we did this intentionally but i didn't realize when I came to edit
@@GFNGaming Oh right, they removed the only in conceal obscuring this edition, my bad on that one (but I've just noticed, how did it get so high? Dash can't be used to climb anymore)
yeah nice little buff - good spot on the repo and dash - he couldn't make it - he'd be floor below - made a note in the 'Rules Edit' - been playing too many games with Vespids
Little side note, warpfold only cares of an operative has already done a repo/charge/fall back before it's used, not after! So it's totally fine to warpfold, THEN reposition, and the other warpfolded operative is fully free to reposition as well. Seems like a pretty common misconception but it's basically an if/then check when the ability is used (if Operative A /then Operative B can't ), but once it's done it stops checking. Idk, it's understandable it gets people but it's written past tense lol
I'm not sure you can, from the PDF rules it states 'If one of them performed the Charge, Fall Back or Reposition action during this turning point and the other is ready, the other cannot perform any of those actions in its activation during this turning point.' - the whole during this turning point bit seems to indicate it's pre or post the warp fold action.
Love the reports but as a bit of constructive criticism, i'd love for you to improve on camera focus. I understand its complicated to film many small things that are not at the same distance, but for instance take the shot at 7:30 with the first wayseeker action. The 2 models in action are blurred, and the focus is on the little bush in the middle lol. I want to admire your minis!
Haha sometimes the auto focus has a mind of it's own, and I confess to laziness not switching to manual focus. Unless, I was just super proud of the shrub placement and needed to highlight it. Cheers for the feedback man, I'm doing quality checks on the vespid game and I am pretty confident all battle cam shots are in focus 🤞
@adrianalvarez9069 hahah yeah man, that's a rough local crowd you've got. I imagine you'll be the most prepared kroot player in any other scene though. Go to some tournaments you'll clean up with all that elite practice
Since wet pointing out misplays, in midnight clad turns off if an enemy model is within 6" of you, so the shaderunner surviving should have denied the visionary in midnight clad vs all of the various shots he took afterwards. But mostly it's just great to see some batteps on the new edition!
Cheers man, I assume it wouldn't turn off the obscured he would get from the terrain though? he was getting a little terrain obscurity from the various wraith cannon shots not his midnight clad.
@@GFNGaming that makes sense. I didn't see the angle but I thought it would only be obscured due to in midnight clad. I guess there's some things you need to be in the game to see
Great battle report! Love the effects as well! I am building my own Corsair team, a question about the Piratical Profiteers: the wording of it in the faction rules is not too clear in my opinion: contending should mean that BOTH a friendly operative an enemy operative are within range of the same mission marker or objective marker. Essentially the objective is being "contested" because both forces are trying to claim or control it. What do you think?
The way I read it now it is the generic term for having markers in your control range. You only control the marker if you have more APL contesting that marker.
I'm not 100% on that - re-reading it 'once per battle' it means the next bit '...gains one of your grisly trophy tokens (if it doesn't already have one)' is kind of is redundant if you only get 1 so I'd thought it was one per operative as the rules the way they're written make reference to multiple tokens but i get your point of the way its worded as 'Once per battle'. Seems like it is just the once, and not once per operative as I'd thought, damn this is badly written :D
@@GFNGaming I think GW make a mistake. Destription of the Grisply Trophy sounds like it should be ONCE PER TURN (not batlle), remember you have 4 grisply trophy token in box, NOT 1. So i hope it will be some boost in ERRATA/FAQ.
@@ClockworkEngineer T1 I counteracted with the gunner and the skin thief, that was it. You mean a different turn? Although I don't think I did that any turn.

Accurate from Vantage is only vs targets on Engage.
@@bah9541think there might have been some confusion, how you describe it is how I think I described it and that's how we played it
@@GFNGaming Oh, I was confused by 19:17, because you don't need a 2nd person to do that.

I think its accurate 2 when enemy is in engage but I need double check that :D Anyway thanks again guys for awesome report!
Accurate from Vantage is only if the target is on Engage.
If they’re on Conceal you instead ignore light terrain.
Accurate 2 applies against target if Engaged and also a difference 4inches or higher
