Just beat it lol. Btw - idk if this helps anyone but here are some notes I found that might help you if you're having ago at it: Assuming you're following this walkthrough, if you screw up the run as a single character the first time through and get sent back to where all the characters are behind the gate at the end of the first area - if you tap right you'll reposition yourself behind the door - and if you jump the other characters will relocate to where you are, allowing you to push the door open faster. Then, if you and the other characters begin pushing the door back open and you jump just as the door fully opens - you'll get sent flying across the gap to the other side, and won't have to straggle with that troll platform a second time. Also, I'd recommend that, if you mess up with your solo character the first time through, you should keep going with the other characters to get practice on the second and third areas regardless. You pretty much can't win if you don't get your solo character through to the third section on the first time through though. Sometimes, if characters are following you in the beginning of the second section and you move ahead, they will jump/fall off the podiums and down the gaps, dying. One to try to counteract this is to move through the beginning of the second area (to the four stacked blue platforms) fast, and another way is to, after moving to a podium ahead of them, rap lightly on the left dpad a few times very lightly, and the characters may warp to you, preventing them from falling. Also, one alternate way of doing the part with four platforms stacked vertically in the second area, is to just jump onto the second platform up instead of the first, and simply run back to the brown podium using the left dpad without jumping and thus avoiding the bombs, hopefully easier. Also, I played this on Vita, but if you're trying to jump up to a narrow podium (like the one at the end of the 'hardest section' of the DRTD, right before the spinning blue platform) you can tap the right dpad and, even if the character has stopped running, there will be a little bit of time where if you jump without inputting directions you'll move up and slightly to the right to land onto the podium. As a side note, it's really hard to move to specific spots in this minigame because of how slippery the controls are, so you have to play it enough until you have a handle on the controls and can play the harder sections by ear. Took me maybe 10-13 hours total. Also your directions were really helpful - great layout and colour-coding. I liked how you have general instructions at the bottom and more specific instructions on the right.

I Remember that you have to actually make it through in the first go in the run your on. Otherwise there's just a fuckton of bombs that are gonna end up culling half of your party. Luckily that part is the hardest section however it can be quite nerve-racking when you actually managed to do that on the first go and don't have much practice with the ending; you definitely need a party of at least three or four people to do the last part of the stage. If I didn't make it through the middle section on the 1st go ID keep trying to make it to the end so I could practice the last section which is probably the second hardest
If you mean the last part, honestly that's a random. SOmetimes when a character dies the other characters might follow you instantly and falling to death and sometimes they don't. It angerd me so many times, it doesn't make sense
Finally made it after couple of hours... That was some achievement. Thanks for the guide, it was really helpful. BTW, glitch still working in 2019, even with fresh Trilogy re-release. It just has to be done correctly. Maybe it was intended mechanic, because it's not the only place you can separate one person from the others.

I refuse to believe the minigame is beatable. the jump button doesn't work half the time, the characters don't jump high enough and always get trapped by the first cage (except Angie cause she's the only one that can jump higher than the others for no reason), all bombs in the letters kill me when I touch them no matter what I do, characters fall through the first platform near the gate. do I just have a crappy version of the game where the minigame is unbeatable?

How do you avoid characters spawning over open space, then falling and dying? I've made it to the very last part with 9 people like 3 times now and after my first character dies trying to open the gate (with the rest of the group waiting on the platform I came from) like 4 people spawn in the gap and die instantly - it's pretty damn frustrating and unfair - way more so than the terrible controls.

this feels impossible even with a guide. I remember originally i thought i was done as i got past the clear coins and then i fell in the pit, found this video, and learned im not even close to done; I cant seem to even get to the second area without losing 13-14 people =(

I'm not sure if that is supposed to be legit or it's a glitch, what i can say is that the trick of making the other people stay behind doesn't work everytime....but if you do that thing where you do some step on the left before jumping into the blue platform it rise the chance of it happening (also keep in mind that nobody following you is the best case scenario! It might happen that only 3/5 of them will follow you, and that's still good!) If it was a glitch and it have been fixed i don't know so i can't help you for that...
The concept is to start running against the first wall so that once you jump the character will move forward to its own, you have to be slightly careful about keeping the same speed and not to jump too much Thing is it is easier said than done, you have to practice it a little in order to get the movement/speed control right Wish you luck!!

After about 1000+ tries and finally a victory i feel a lot closer to all these characters than i should be at this point in the game

How do I stop sliding after the second door jump? Everytime my character keeps running and falls even when I try to turn them the other way.

The timings given for the ledges don't work. I'm jumping exactly where you say, and I miss it by a mile. It just darts to the other side

I used to be able to seperate people but just all of the sudden they started following me every attempt what the fuck.
My only assumption is that they updated or patched it, and now it's no longer possible
