Just a thought but to prevent in the future couldn’t you in theory mill that out with the crack then insert a steel liner ring with an fuel port so the injector can’t wear and rock cracking the head.

labour is more expensive than a replacement head in general. then there's the loss of the vehicle while/if its repaired.
Whats the price for a amc head? And do you recommend dewebbing the exhaust manifold?
