@@THEGREATPAPYRUS2238 I think it depends on the scene. Sometime it's good, other times not so much. Sometimes an "over-acting" background character is just a distraction from the point of the scene.
as someone who also does background characters/ensemble, i do think it’s extremely important to give it your all and be expressive. to a point, though, because the classmate im referencing was overacting so much to the point it was just a distraction lmao
"The one who rehearses everywhere" I go over my lines when I'm bored. This is my first time getting a lead, and being in an actual PLAY and my character has the most lines so I'm trying to not screw up 😅
I am 100% the one who rehearses way too much! From all my years of theater, I always worry I will forget my lines (even if I spent hours memorizing them), so I'll use every spare second to go over them! People always look at me and wonder why I'm talking to myself, but in reality, I'm just picturing myself in the scene (at that given moment) and acting out my part! 🤣
I feel that expect it’s more just in my head. I do rehearse on my one a lot. Sometimes there are some songs or choreography that are a bit difficult and I will drill it into my brain. Sometimes to the point where a few weeks after the show I still remember the choreography
Actually! If we mess up then it's noticeable. I had a blackout cue set but it turned out it wasn't actually a blackout and during the show had to click the emergency blackout button
