You made my maternal grandmother's exact stuffing (minus the peppers lol) and she hadn't made it in decades before she died in 2015. Thankfully, my mom still has the recipe so she can make it for me. Almost made me cry watching you make it because I miss her so much.
@@carladaniels7910 It’s the same thing she did only you don’t add peppers but she had to since they were mixed. White sandwich bread broken up, turkey or chicken broth to soak, chopped onions, and seasoning just like you would season a cornbread dressing. No meat in it. That’s why I love it.
This is inspiring and wonderful. Everyone deserves a Thanksgiving dinner. And this looks filling and satisfying, for body and soul. Bless you for your content. You are helping so many.
I was homeless for 11 months a while back( and i had two little ones with me.) All i had was a microwave, hot plate, and coffeepot. I had to make thanksgiving AND christmas dinners that year in that terrible motel room we were living in and alllll the food came from dollar tree.(the meat i had to get from family dollar) My girls still talk about now too they say it was really good....however the thanksgiving we had this year now that we're in a house and dont have to eat from dollar tree or family dollar is much better lol. I will say it did force me to become seriously creative tho. The mashed fries was something i did alot lol.i wish i seenbthos channel back then!!!! Theres ppl out there im sure that use these recipes because they have to...not because they want too. So thank you.
Good job! A couple of ideas for you... Mayonnaise can be used in mashed potatoes, they don't need anything else. Try a pumpkin icebox cake which is definitely a day-ahead recipe... a can of pumpkin, the usual seasonings as would be in a pie, a container of Cool Whip, and a box of graham crackers (I use chocolate ones). Combine everything except the crackers. Then layer the pumpkin mixture with the crackers. You can make individual ones, it can be a loaf or square, it all depends on how you want to present it. Refrigerated overnight It can be frozen too. (When I first came up with this, I called it a torte.)
"That Lisa Dawn" makes meals from Dollar Tree. I totally enjoyed your effort. Many people could use this perspective. You did a great job. This was a fantastic meal.. Everything looked so very good.
Amazing video! I had my boyfriend watch with me and his mouth was drooling! We are recreating every dish 😀 love your channel and the work you put into each video ❤
I love your content so much! Take that mushy pineapple and add brown sugar and use for pineapple upside down cake. It’s actually good with the crushed pineapples. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
im not even from the US, we don't have Thanksgiving nor Dollar Tree but your videos are so fascinating. You're very smart and you're helping so manny people with your videos!! Keep it up
The French Fry to mashed potato hack is ingenious especially for people who don’t like instant potatoes. If you don’t have eggs you can substitute 1/4 cup of buttermilk. Thank you for the video. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
For the pineapple mash, you could sub some for banana in banana bread, use in morning glory muffins, or make a modified pineapple upside down cake or cupcakes by mixing with brown sugar & butter and putting in before batter.
Yay! My favorite video meal prepper making a nice dinner with ingredients from my favorite store! You make a person feel good again ( even though times are rough). Thank you!
Really appreciate this video thank you for posting. Also thank you for choosing to edit it in chronological order as it helps with figuring out the order to do things in (which takes a lot of mental energy for me).
Hi Rebecca, I have to tell you how impressed I am with this video. I have watched every one of your videos, but this one is my favorite. You did an amazing job with humble ingredients from Dollar Store. My favorite was the ham roses and the pie. I think the pie just needed a few more minutes in the oven. Again, congratulations, and I can wait to see your next video. God bless you and your loved ones, too. Maria, from CT
This was a very important exercise...people watching may forget: these videos are not always just about the budget--it's also about working with the resources that are available to you. While many of us live near WalMarts & grocery stores, there are many others that do not, and some live in actual "food deserts" & if they want to cook a holiday meal, they may have to rely on a Dollar Tree, Dollar General, or Family Dollar or similar because that is all they have in their neighborhood. So thank you for showing them the possibilities & teaching/reminding them how it can be done. It takes a lot of planning and creativity, and it has inspired me and I appreciate you for this! 😊
for an hour long video, very impressed. All chill, relax, like we all are there with you. Looks yummy! This is what we used to do every single year back in the day. And even more stuff to cook. Soo glad do not have to anymore!
Great job Rebecca! The ham roses are the cutest thing I've ever seen. You are so creative & talented. One of the things I copied from you & made was easy mac & cheese from a box, without boiling pasta first. Turned out awesome & so easy. Today, instead of fighting crowds in Costco for my favorite pumpkin pie, I'm going to make an easy pumpkin bread using white cake mix as a base, plus prepping sweet potato casserole, & stuffing. Mashed potatoes will be from the package of instant, & trying out a 1 1/2 pound turkey tenderloin, with turkey gravy of course. I'm cooking for myself, but with all the leftovers, I'll divide meals into the prep containers & freeze them so each meal is enough for just me. Thanks for all the ideas. I got all 13 things on my list today from Dollar Tree. Woo hoo! Easy peasy. :) Happy Thanksgiving. ♥
Wow now that is a great way to save. I think the ham roses are beautiful. A pie tip: always cut two slices makes the first easier to get out. Thank you for sharing all of your tips!
What a great long content video! It felt like hanging out in the kitchen with you 😊 You're one of the few channels I look forward to watching. My son and I have made some of the recipes you've made or been inspired to create something different. Dollar Tree has always been one of our go-to stores. But you've outdone yourself with this Thanksgiving dinner! Bravo!🎉
$75 is a great price, I got my turkey and ham for free, as well as making pumpkin puree from a free pumpkin and my thanks giving was still over $100, even with sales and bogo deals.
I was talking with my husband about everything.. told him I’m too pregnant and working too much with having to come home and cook dinner and deal with the toddler, I wasn’t up for cooking this year. we ordered from Cracker Barrel the take home dinner for $150. I told him it was very nice to have everything prepped. If I had done it all I probably would have spent way more than that and still had a lot of prep to do. Everything tasted really good. No dry chicken breast. We might do this again.
@@DollarTreeDinnersI think a bunch of us felt like we wanted to fly over to your kitchen, take it over like a Brigade of Fairy God People and do of ALL the clean-up for you. ❤😂
I love that idea, @@eileengalindo4949! Holidays can be stressful enough as it is, so anything that can be done to make life easier is a must, even if it's just sometimes. Congratulations on your baby!
@@DollarTreeDinnersyes but keep in mind you spent more bc the challenge was cooking from scratch. If you had just bought potato flakes, prepared pie crust, box stuffing, a can cream of mushroom and green beans, velveeta or box Mac cheese etc you would have saved more than $20. Plus most folks have seasoning, sugar, milk, eggs, butter or flour in the pantry. So it’s possible to make all this for $50 or less! I’m nuts so I did my own list and with the minimal ingredients I came up with about $28 including tax!
I love watching your channel. Awesome how you made Thanksgiving dinner all from scratch. Just wanted to let you know that I didn’t find the video chaotic at all. You do a great job!
So someone says you can't make an entire Thanksgiving Dinner from scratch with Dollar Tree Ingredients. Don't even bother. Rebecca says "hold my whisk and see for dinner (you are bringing the wine)". Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
I love that so much Tammie, my condolences always for the loss of your father, I am so glad to hear that my videos brought him some comfort during hospice
This being $75 makes me so impressed with myself that at my local expensive grocery store called Tops Friendly Markets I got a 5 lb bone in turkey breast for $16.67 and you got ALL the sides free with purchase of turkey breast. I got box of stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, frozen veggies, dinner rolls and even a 2liter and reusable bag. All for around $20 after I bought gravy mix and turkey broth. Fed my family of 3 (and a spoiled cat) multiple meals, and freezing some turkey for soup

Oh my goodness, you knocked it out of the park!!! I love, love, love this! I appreciate the effort that you put into making this meal and this video! I love your channel. You are a rock star!
What fun! I was so excited that this was a long one. I am alone so this is my cooking with a family for Thanksgiving!! I absolutely loved the ham roses, so pretty!!! I watched you make them with the excitement of a 5 year old. I am going out in early am for groceries - french fries for sure, the price of potatoes is terrible and lately not very good. Such a great idea. Don't be surprised that we make your meals. I've been cooking for longer than I'm telling and I learn something new every time I watch. Thank you for this video. I hope you and those you love have the best Thanksgiving ever. Enjoy knowing how much you have helped others feel that they had an abundant day. One thing that hurts about being poor is feeling a lack of happiness and excitement. Not seeing anything to celebrate. Not feeling poor leads to more gratitude which is of course Thanksgiving. I believe many more people will feel fed, grateful, and full of thanks bc of you. 🙂 (One thought about the dishes: if you had food to eat and people to eat it with, isn’t washing dishes a small price?)
Wow I love your channel. Have been a fan from the beginning. 🥰 . Your creativity is amazing 👌. It's helpful that you show that using dollar tree products is very possible. Especially in these financially challenging times. Everything is just super expensive💰 😪 . I feel like alot of single mom's or single dad's will appreciate all the tips and great recipes you provide. It's never too late, though. I've baked since before my teen years but I learned how to cook in my forties (closer to fifty) and now I love it. I wish I had learned a lot sooner.
Your daughter sounds like my mom! My grandma is a great cook but my mom never learned or wanted to cook. I, however love cooking and it gives me a sense of pride. Now baking from scratch I can’t do (too exact) so I’m good with boxed cakes and maybe making a homemade topping.
I love your videos, and watch them faithfully! Your leftover "pineapple mash" could be added to cream cheese, maybe even with some cranberry sauce or relish stirred in, as a yummy bagel or muffin spread!
I love the main-dish adaptation of the charcuterie board meat roses! Super cute and what a way to make an inexpensive product not just acceptable for a special dinner but an absolute showstopper.

Team Smooth and Creamy, but it also needs some gravy. Thanksgiving is nothing with out gravy, because you pour it all over your potatoes, and your stuffing and your meat :D I won't be having thanksgiving this year, so this was a nice treat to watch :D Thank you for your video and ideas on how to make a less expensive thanksgiving/christmas meal. Rebecca. Next time you shop at dollar tree buy yourself an apron. No more flour dust or gravy stains on your clothes. • Save your pineapple mash for future muffins or add together to make a Banana/ pineapple loaf. That mash can be frozen until you need it. I don’t know if all these things are going to be leftovers, but I am obsessed with this new viral stuffing waffle situation where you cook your leftover stuffing in a waffle maker and it makes a stuffing cracker and you serve your turkey in potatoes and cranberry sauce, and everything else on top… it looked like a little leftover stuffing, so I thought you might want to give it a try

I enjoy your videos immensely. I watch them and then I listen to them when I’m trying to relax at night. Thank you for the effort and content. I appreciate you.
Thank you so so much!
You made my maternal grandmother's exact stuffing (minus the peppers lol) and she hadn't made it in decades before she died in 2015. Thankfully, my mom still has the recipe so she can make it for me. Almost made me cry watching you make it because I miss her so much.
So sweet. I make my mom's pumpkin pie every year. I miss her amazing cooking, but am grateful to have some of her recipes.
April, please share your recipe..
Thank you so much! Happy thanksgiving!
Rebecca for the win! Amazing job! I really like your channel. I love your creativity! Keep’em coming and I’ll keep watching 😊
As someone living in a high income family who really doesn't need this atm, this is such a good and interesting video to watch, thank you
The mash 🍍 would be great thrown into carrot cake. Nice menu!
I have been cooking for ages, but I always learn some new hints from you! Love the ham roses!
Who has buttermilk?
Flax seed is good sub for eggs too
I cut up Fry's and use them for breakfast potatoes. You can probably make some potato pancakes as well.
@KrystyneY Just add 1 Tbsp of lemon or vinegar to 1 c. milk and that's basically buttermilk. I never buy it:)
Mix in a smidge of Worcestershire Sauce to your Green Bean Casserole. It’s so good
If you don't have that, the original Campbell's recipe uses soy sauce. I do the Worchestershire myself.
For the pineapple mash, you could sub some for banana in banana bread, use in morning glory muffins, or make a modified pineapple upside down cake or cupcakes by mixing with brown sugar & butter and putting in before batter.
Or a smoothie
Also spoon over ice cream
Add to ground chicken with teriyaki for meatballs.
I thought that might be the case, it’s hard to figure out how to make everything come together at once
Are you going to make candied yams??
I can't wait to try the ham flowers! I think they would be pretty to serve with a salad!
for an hour long video, very impressed. All chill, relax, like we all are there with you. Looks yummy! This is what we used to do every single year back in the day. And even more stuff to cook. Soo glad do not have to anymore!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yay an hour long vid from the g.o.a.t of budget meals ☺️🎉
It was fun to make!
Wow now that is a great way to save. I think the ham roses are beautiful. A pie tip: always cut two slices makes the first easier to get out. Thank you for sharing all of your tips!
Saw them praising your Thanksgiving meal on tv! Work it girl. I’m proud of you!🎉❤
What a great long content video!
I'm so budget conscious that I sometimes forget what's considered cheap nowadays haha
Every time I think you can't possibly top your last video you knock it out of the park. #MarthaStewartWho?
haha I wanted to see if it could be done and I think mission accomplished!
@@DollarTreeDinnersI VERY much agree, mission accomplished!!! You are such an important resource for so many people. 🎉🎉🎉
Martha would love Rebecca!!
Pineapple pulp to Italian ice. Could use a bit of the syrup to sweeten. French fries to mashed, brilliant! Great job!🎉🌟 🏆
Absolutely amazing, as always!
I’ve said it before but an extreme thank you, Rebecca, for all that you do. You will always be a part of my extended “family” and seeing my dad through his hospice journey. He absolutely loved watching your videos and trying your dollar tree meals.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
I love that so much Tammie, my condolences always for the loss of your father, I am so glad to hear that my videos brought him some comfort during hospice
You’re the best girl. I have no intention of ever making these, but it’s awesome to see and show you can do anything with limited options
Girl, your macaroni and cheese is making me drool on my phone and that mashed potato hack with the french fries has blown my mind! You’re so real and down to earth and a pleasure to watch. Keep up the good work!❤
OMG! Me too. There was almost a river of drool going past my feet.
Hello DTD, I couldn't stop watching what a fantastic job you did. You can save money and make a great Thanksgiving meal. You could also double or triple the recipe depending on how many are coming. I started watching you at 3:30 AM because I couldn't sleep. Yes, the supermarket was expensive. I should have gone to the dollar tree. YOU DID A FANTASTIC JOB!!!!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
You should be so proud of yourself. That meal looks absolutely delicious!
(One thought about the dishes: if you had food to eat and people to eat it with, isn’t washing dishes a small price?)
There should be no shame in having to shop at dollar tree. Thank you so much for being so caring. I hope you have a wonderful blessed Thanksgiving 🦃🥧 with your family. 🤟🥰. Thanks from Susan Wilson in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania 🦃
I think it’s just great to see someone as young as you cooking from scratch!! Or cooking at all😂😂. My daughter is older than you, she’s 39, and can barely make boxed Mac and cheese😂. I tried to teach her how to cook but she just doesn’t like it!! My grandkids depend on me for the good stuff!!!😂😂. This video was great!! Who woulda thunk you could make mashed taters outta frozen French fries???!!!!!
LETS get this amazing lady to 100k by the end of the year.. EVeryone share with a friend.. she makes being grocery poor taste better!!! Thank you
I love the main-dish adaptation of the charcuterie board meat roses! Super cute and what a way to make an inexpensive product not just acceptable for a special dinner but an absolute showstopper.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!🍽 That Thanksgiving dinner was awesome! Im thinking since I don’t have to cook a dinner for family I’d use these ideas so I can make some casseroles for my work week & busy weekends!
Your scratch recipes looked wonderful and even tho you had a lot of dishes to wash/scrub, you know all of us here appreciated your taking the time to plan, shop, cook/bake/serve/edit this video!! 🦃 🍁🧡🧡🤎🧡🧡❤️
I can't actually cook anymore (I'm 70 and disabled), but I LOVE watching your videos and reminiscing about when I still could. I always cooked from scratch, like you, and also somehow always managed to wear black when using flour! LOL Please never stop sharing these.
Just came across your RUclips and I’m so happy I did! So simple and looks amazing! I can’t wait to watch all your videos!
Girl, you are awesome! I'm feeling so inspired!! I really want to try the mashed potatoes from fries!! Who knew?!?! And ya know... $75 is not bad for serving 8 people a holiday meal. Happy Thanksgiving Rebecca!
Greta job - proves you can do a lot with even dollar tree items. Thanks always!
You are the best with frugality and making it good I swear. Hands down my favorite channel!
If you watched an ad to support Rebecca and her channel, you're the best!!
I really enjoyed, and appreciate, all the work you put into making this video. I would have loved to have been there with you tasting everything. In my lifetime I have made many made from scratch holiday dinners and it can be very stressful. Your dinner looked amazing. The ham "roses" were gorgeous. Thank you so much, again. Praying that you have a blessed Thanksgiving. Much love to you and your family. ~ Becky ~
Becky, you’re thinking of the Hillbilly Kitchen! This lasdy’s name is Rebecca not Becky!
To me, christmas is just a repeat of thanksgiving, although, I would make turkey on thanksgiving and ham on christmas. thanks again! #smooth&creamy
Edit: $75 usually buys you just your turkey, or ham. That is awesome that you were able to make THAT much food on $75. And feeding a lot of people at the same time. People would be full coming from your dollar tree thanksgiving, that is for sure.
So impressed! You were so well spoken and explain things so well. I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you.
Those deli ham roses were amazing! What a cool trick, even just to use on a make-your-own-sandwich board. I love how innovative all this is.
I agree, they would be perfect on a honey bun with a slice of cheese!
I love all your videos, but I think this is the best video you've made...everything looks so delicious and the fact you made it from scratch is amazing. Those ham roses are so cute!
Loved these ideas. 🎉. You are thoughtful and funny. Really hope you have many blessings in your life. I look forward to the creations. I don’t shop a lot at the dollar type stores, but I appreciate them more. Mostly buy at Lidl but these ideas translate well ❤
I think that you are absolutely amazing I love your content and I have taken several of your ideas I have a Dollar Tree literally next door to my office and I have been making inexpensive lunches thanks to your influence thank you so much for sharing have a wonderful holiday
THANK YOU! Canadian Thanksgiving is long past, but Xmas is coming and the price of Canadian groceries are skyrocketing so high they are discussing it in Parliament! This is allowing me a huge sigh of relief that I might actually be able to have a proper Christmas dinner. You're a gem for doing all this work!
Look into odd bunch, they sell the produce that isn't commercially pretty for cheap and deliver it to your door. Like a box with over what's now $100 of fruit and veg for $25.
I absolutely love how attainable you make these dishes! The mashed potatoes hack is brilliant and the ham roses were so beautiful! I love love love your videos!
This is an easy process, you made Thanksgiving a simple flavorful meal. Keeping the budget friendly holiday! Joyful!
I watched the whole video and loved it so so much! You do such great things and man you put so so much work into this video!! ❤️
Rebecca. Next time you shop at dollar tree buy yourself an apron. No more flour dust or gravy stains on your clothes.
• Save your pineapple mash for future muffins or add together to make a Banana/ pineapple loaf. That mash can be frozen until you need it. The other option is to add it to a smoothy.
** The ham roses you created could be baked in a muffin tin in order to keep its shape.
Excellent job on your thanksgiving meal. Well done. A viewer from Canada 🇨🇦 🍁
Yes, I was thinking the ham roses in a muffin tin too.❤
You are very articulate and I love your thanksgiving dinner! Thank you for sharing! ❤❤
New Sub here! Excellent work in creating a whole feast on a low budget. 🙌 I especially love the Mac & cheese, and mashed potato idea, but everything looks amazing!!
The camera loves you, and your down to earth personality with high class look is a breath of fresh air. You are truly amazing at connecting with your audience.
The whole meal was amazing, but those ham roses were beautiful. I wish I could be a guest at your table!
I was so excited to see this video was so long!! I absolutely love stuffing! My mom always made 2, one plain and one that was made with the inners of the turkey (i didn't eat that one, lol)! I congratulate you on an exceptional dinner! The best thing anyone can do,if they're cooking, is to plan and do anything and everything you can do ahead of the actual day. As of today, I have the stuffing, sweet potatoes, pies and green bean casserole all ready to bake. You did a fabulous job. Thanks for sharing it with us. I hope you and your family had an incredible holiday! ❤❤❤ btw, loved those ham roses!!🌹🌹
Love an easy make ahead thanksgiving! I'm also glad to see you all enjoy the longer videos! Happy thanksgiving!
It might not come from the Dollar tree but I am going to make your macaroni and cheese for Christmas and see how they like it. I truly enjoyed your video. I learned something with the french 🍟😂
Happy Holidays 🎄♥️🕊️
If evaporated milk is a $1.25 it is cheaper at the Dollar tree than it is anywhere else...
You Really impressed me! The Mac n' Cheese, Ham Rosettes ( beautiful) are Amazing! Good job Honey! 😊
I enjoy your videos! Your enthusiasm is contagious! I especially liked the ham florets - so cute. I may have to try doing those. Keep up the good work! ❤
Everything looks delicious. I love what you did with the ham.❤it's amazing what you make with dollar tree food. I learn so much from you. Happy holidays 🎉
This was so interesting. I was surprised at how great the food looked. I also did not know that you could use frozen fries to make mashed potatoes.
I bet the pineapple could do into a delicious hummingbird cake. Great video!
Fantastic video! I have never seen mashed potatoes from French fries but definitely going to try that! When your 66 and hands don't work the way they used too its great to have shortcuts in cooking. Everything looks delicious 😋 You have a great Thanksgiving with family and friends! God Bless! 😊
You’ve outdone yourself! What an amazing dinner ❤️
Happy Thanksgiving!!! Great idea with the frozen fries!
Also: you should take that frozen pineapple mash and freeze it! You can eat it like shaved ice, or mix it into a pina colada!
I was looking for someone else to mention Pina colada with the pineapple mash. I bet it would taste delicious frozen.
I have made many of your recipes! I may not get the ingredients from Dollar Tree but I still make them the same. You are doing a fantastic job and come up with great recipes that create great results! Keep up the good work! Really enjoyed this video. Wishing you and yours a very blessed holiday season! 🎉
You did a FANTASTIC!!!!! Job! the little ham roses look amazing! everything from scratch and from the dollar store to boot! kudo's to you Rebecca!!
Love this long video. So many wonderful ideas. I never thought of using French fries for mashed potatoes. You are amazing.
Wow, I love your dishes and your efforts in showing us all that can be done with DT items. Awesome work, and I truly appreciate this video. Thank you so much. I love your videos. Happy holidays to you, yours and fur baby too....I saw him briefly in the kitchen😊❤❤❤
Great video. Thanks for taking the time and effort to make the food and video. Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving.
I found your channel about a month ago and I’m loving all of your content! You are amazing!
