The realization that wrestling is just an action movie preformed live, like a play, gave me a new appreciation for the spectacle of it all.
Also, fun fact: WWF later got renamed into WWE because the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (the other WWF) threatened to sue them for sharing the same acronym. Reminds me of a parody T-shirt I once saw that features the WWF logo with two pandas fighting each other (one of them was holding a folding chair).

I’m confused by his not recognizing any of the people. All but two for sure were in WWF in the 80s and 90s. Possibly the last one too. Unsure who the bottom right one is. James hit the nail on the head though, Slam Masters and Wrestlemania Arcade were the best Wrestling games of the bunch, and the way James got sucker punched at the end there, the commissioner is sure to give James a Hardcore rematch in Wrestling Games Round 2.

Homestar Runner was popular around 2000s so I think James Rolfe didn’t know about it because he wasn’t into that kind of stuff back then.

That was a big part of the Hogan vs Andre storyline when Andre ripped it off.

Raw was actually the best wrestling game on SNES if you were a wrestling fan. The grappling system allowed you to do a bunch of moves, and all of the character’s special moves were included.
I totally agree. You could also climb the ropes, slam a chair on your opponents head and lots of other stuff.

Yes, I'm gonna be THAT guy, but ... I really think James should focus on writing more witty remarks and clever jokes into the episodes. I know it's hard, but he *always* had tons of that in the earlier episodes (up until #80 or so), that's what got me into them. But the newer ones either focus on a storyline or just finding new ways to curse. I still watch them, but without much enthusiasm. Don't get me wrong, I'm still thankful for all the enjoyment James brought me over the past 10 years.

Fun Fact: LJN's contract with the World Wrestling Federation is why Sgt. Slaughter left the company in the mid-80s. He wasn't allowed to be an LJN WWF figure and a Hasbro G.I. WCW/NWO Revenge, Wrestlemania 2000, and WWF No Mercy. Those were the best and pinnacle of wrestling games.
Yeah, I was a fan of Smackdown up until then too. Those load times on Smackdown 2, they were horrendous.
I feel like those games are a bit overrated, bad blocky graphics, slow gameplay, awful versions of entrances, there has been a lot better games on better consoles since then, and I'm not even one to like modern games or modern systems, but n64 didn't really make wrestling games look good.

I had the Royal Rumble one and the Wrestlemania one by LJN. I actually like them at the time. Pro Wrestling tag team wasn't too bad once you got use to it. The B was so you could change your attack after you initiated the punch. That's all I remember to it.

There was a fan holding a message poster saying "Why did you let LJN make your your games in the 90s?" It was after the triple threat match for the intercontinental championship.
Not that anyone could possibly care, but the wrestlers on the WCW SuperBrawl menu were in order: Dustin Rhodes, Vader, Ravishing Rick Rude, Ric Flair, Johnny B. Badd, Rick Steiner, Sting, Flyin' Brian Pillman, Scott Steiner, Ron Simmons, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, and Barry Windham.
