  • I fish the East Carson River on 9/19/20 using Tenkara rods to catch wild rainbow trout. Like all my shows I provide all the details you need to go out and attempt to catch fish including baits, techniques, equipment and locations.

You look like you are pretty successful at fishing but.... have you ever tried fishing heading UPSTREAM? The fish are always facing upstream, waiting for food to float down. They can see you when the water is clear. I have better luck sneaking up behind the fish

Hey excellent vid I know that area very well. Did you fish the spot where the Markleeville creek runs into the east Carson? That has always produced the 20in and ups for me.

Thanks! Yes. I fished that spot and never got bit. It definitely looked like it could hold fish 🎣

Very informative. I really like the inclusing of the google earth Map. Most people are extremely cagey about their locations.

Eric Leslie Thanks! That has been the premise of my show from the very beginning. To be all inclusive including locations. I give up all the information!

@@alesieur1971 I'm the same way. I feel like guides (or anyone) that depend on keeping location and tactics a secret are hugely vulnerable to the internet. With a little bit of research and effort to hike in some place, you can find anything online.

@@driftstone I agree! There are no secrets anymore. So with that in mind I have always provided all the information my viewers need to go out and repeat what I have done. It's all fun so why not share what we learn with others!

I won’t subscribe to any fishing RUclips show that does not discuss the system and flies they are using and why and at the very least a general location. So many videos out there that don’t even say what part of the country they are in let alone the state. Thanks, that area holds alot of snakes careful.
