When I found this band months ago, this line is what made me fall in love. I feel like his hand gesture was to appeal to a casual. Like "Hey, pay attention now". It's just genius as a whole.
I am a huge fan of Jonny’s voice, and recognize his vocal epicness. With that said, Matt fits this band, as if he started it. Whatever they decide to do next, with the new name, and solidified lineup, is gonna take them super far!
I see the bois rocking those quarantine haircuts Jokes aside, this song means a lot to me and I'm happy to see it being performed live at least in some way.
My brother too his life last year after 30 years of drugs, and loneliness, and struggled with bipolarity, and mild schistosomiasis. This song was his thoughts. We worked together with my mom, but no one really knew how he actually felt. I want to say I did, as his only little sister. As sad, and horrible as these lyrics are, they make me feel closer to him. This is how he felt, but it's wasn't his only feelings. No one really gives a d@mn until you're gone.
Underrated is a understatement!!!!! This song touches my soul and means more than 95% of music I listen too because it is true!!! Much love from S.C guys!!!!
Matt is great for Slaves but Jonny Craig was great in his own way ,cause its like me saying wouldn't know Slaves if not for Jonny Craig to you ( just enjoy the good music )
I really dig Matt and the new Slaves' songs but it's stupid to compare him to Jonny, he was the one who defined the band's style in the 1st place plus he sounds way better performing live
He just lacks any sort of charisma or character. What Jonny lacks in tact he makes up for in having a charisma and personality that still entices you to wanna see and hear him dispute his shortcomings. This guy's competent but forgettable in almost every way. A true 'everyman', and there's plenty of us about.

I was worried for this band after they got rid of Johnny but I honestly love this album almost as much as and maybe even more than Routine Breathing. Future is bright for them. They're definitely an underrated band that needs more love.
Saw them live in Fresno CA both with Jonny (2018, Beautiful Death release) and with Matt (November 2019) and I must say, Slaves concerts have some irreplaceable energy to them 🔥 both amazing vocalists, both show so much passion to their lyrics and the rest of the guys Felipe, Zack, Colin and Wes have an underrated heart and energy for playing live shows as well 👏🏼 I’ve always been a big fan of Zack, love his drum work in Slaves and I truly do miss seeing these guys play live. Then adding bands like Sunsleep and Dayseeker to their tour lineup and it’s a concert made in heaven, thank you guys, can’t wait to see you soon, to know the new band name and see what you guys release ✊🏼

He got kicked out of Dance Gavin Dance for forgetting the lyrics to songs, and turning up late to shows, mooching off people, scamming them. Great voice; horrible person. The reason Matt is in is because Jonny decided to not go on tour last minute and go do drugs instead.
Slaves is basically what ETF became to me. I like both iterations of both bands. Jonny and Matt are both great vocalists and I love basically all songs from this band as whole!
Thank you for that visit back to normalcy, so we can keep diligent on working towards are way back to enjoying safe like-minded crowds and purpose of cause not requiring protests!
