It’s the juxtaposition of his soul/rnb influence with the rock/post-hardcore that makes it work. Otherwise he’s just another rnb/soul artist which naturally doesn’t sound as interesting. This chorus is the best chorus he’s written in a longgggggg time. Maybe one of the best I’ve heard in a while from anyone in this genre

This is an amazing song, and I can’t wait for more of Jonny’s rock stuff to release. This is like a combination of Slaves, Emarosa and instrumentally it’s in the same category as what Rain City Drive is doing today, just with a touch of Jonny’s uniqueness to it (that’s a great thing). I don’t care what people say about Jonny man, I’m always gonna be a fan and a supporter. This man is an amazing talent, he’s a great father now and he’s striving to be the best version of himself.
