Been using the eta lite for almost four years. It's been consistently brilliant.

Thanks for the tip with the pot stand studs. Threading them in in alternating direction makes them much easier to take out with fat thumbs and especially with cold hands. This is my only gripe with this stove, if you drop one of those studs out in the wild you'd be lucky to find it again. That aside I've had mine a couple of years and out of the many stoves I have it's my favourite all-in-one.

a really good alternative is the Alpkit brukit, it's £38 including postage. i bought one over a jet boil, it's a little larger at 1.1 litres but the boil time is about 10 seconds longer it does have metal handles too which is really nice as well. it boils 500-600ml in just over 3min and 1 litre in just under 6min. plus you can fit a 230-220g canister inside it with the stove part too. i'm chuffed with it. There offices and warehouse are near Nottingham/Derby

    Thanks for the review.
Can you please advice which one to go with?:
Primus Lite+ 72,97 EUR or Jetboil MINIMO 108.37 EUR
MiniMo is 1L. but somehow it is claimed 13x15 which almost same as 0.5L of Premius Lite+ 10x15 cm
Weightwise they also almost similar 415 vs. 390
So which one to go with? Is Minimo worth paying 50% more?
    Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm just wondering how controllable the flame is on these? Is it just like a Jetboil where it's on or off, or can you control it to simmer and cook on?

3bears The flame is very controllable and goes right down to a simmer. I've had a large yellow flame flare up a couple of times on startup and don't know the cause yet. Edit. It was the gas can. Very pleased with the design and size/weight. The locking mechanism is beautifully simple and there's no fiddling with buttons, and the lid is a decent enough cup whereas most competitors have just a lid so you have to carry a cup. It's also a very quiet cooker and I often have to check to see if it is on. The wind seems to have no noticeable effect on it. I got mine for 50 quid and am very happy.
