Route all your internet traffic through a VPN in Switzerland, they have advertisement laws that mean ads cannot be pushed to a user. I don’t get ads on any apps, websites, and on my streaming services. I have heard of some people doing this with a raspberry pi connected to their router to essentially blanket vpn the network.
As for VPN in Switzerland I can see that working. I tried something else - I tried setting up some DNS filters on a raspberry pi (Pi-hole) where I would filter out ads servers and it kinda works. It blocks ads for very much all websites out there except for RUclips - RUclips hosts their ads on the same server as the video content that you came to watch so you can't blacklist it. That's why you need a mechanism on your local device to recognize what is an ad (Brave browser and adblocker addons do it in some way).
I totally agree, like actually here on RUclips, when I watch it on my PS5, i get like a couple mins of video..and then like +40 seconds of NON SKIPPABLE ADS pretty FREQUENTLY. it's ridiculous cause it was never like that before
I've used my PS4 for watching vids on yt from time to time many years ago but didn't experienced that. Like you said, it's probably a new thing they're pushing... And frankly, that sucks. Sure, this is how YT makes its bucks and how many people earn their livelyhood. But that doesn't entittle them to make the experience miserable... Wish you a lovely week, friend! Thanks for sharing this with me :)
Yea same, you can report the ad and then press "go back to video" and it skips all the ads. Takes two taps of the X button, easy way of skipping the 40 plus seconds of unstoppable ads.
Just so we all know- the video clip of Charlie that you provided is cut up insanely to get rid of the breaks between ads so that you can be correct when you said it was "an ad every 2 seconds". The ACTUAL clip of Charlie really only shows an ad every 8-15ish seconds, sometimes more. No need to make an already annoying/dramatic ad situation even more dramatic for more outrage since it's already crazy on its own but good video otherwise
Oh I said that from the back of my mind. I made jump cuts to show how many times it happened and also the absurdity of it but thanks for calling out regardless, man.
You think so? Thanks, mate. I place the mic near the camera in the blind spot and also use a website called Auphonic to clear and enhance the audio. I too think the result is pretty good :)
@@HopeeStudios It sounds like you’ve got a mic in your face w a pop filter, but not uncomfortably close obviously like some media has. Super clean so good job lol, doing audio sounds complicated
That's nice to hear since it was the goal 🙂 I think I've learned a lot by trial and error regarding to sound and am still trying to get better at mixing (I don't use music in these vids but you get what I mean)

Also with how far your face away is, your mic is fucking SOLID dude 👏
