It's actually really cool to see this channel still alive and you still going strong and passionate about your hobby even after so many years. I remember watching your old great white shark video 10 years ago when I was a five year old big shark nerd.
Hey just wanna say I love your vids! They give me hope that I’ll get my license eventually
Just do it. :)
PULL THE TRIGGER
You can do it!!
Some people say, and some people do. They say you get some endorphins from just talking about stuff while never doing it… but you’ll be unhappy and empty, ultimately. *Make it happen* !
I appreciate you guys saying things like lots of exits and that you made your safety stop. I know that you would be safe either way but it makes the video more relaxing for me because I am less stressed for your safety. 😊
As a Michigander, I always appreciate a good cold water wreck dive. Thanks for sharing and for adding your fish voice again. Cracks me up every time! Happy New Year Blue World Family!
Thank you. I have taken some criticism from Zimmy on the fish voice. He is not a fan. I think it's funny. We all tend to anthropomorphize the fish now and then, and imagine what they might be thinking about us. Why not have some fun with it?
@@BlueWorldTV I agree with you wholeheartedly! Please don’t stop - it’s hilarious! 😁
Wow! When I seen the post on RUclips I had to watch it asap. I've done so many training dives on this wreck and now that I live in MX it's awsome to see my old stopping grounds on the big screen. Love your videos, keep em coming.
"Destination Known"
Very cool wreck dive! After watching your past episodes diving in New England the visibility looked really good! Happy new year to the blue world team!!!
Happy New Year Raymond!
This guy legit made my childhood!
Happy to hear that!
When the scorpion fish takes off "whoaaaa" my 8yo and I where cracking up, we watched that part a couple time 😂 we love the show.
LOL!
Love from INDIA . I love your videos lots ....I see every videos of your team ....I love blue world tv and your team
LOVE YOUR VIDS starting watching 8yrs ago so its youve kept me watching my whole life
I love to hear this!!
Very nice scenery both on land and under the sea!
Got this while having coffee.. perfect timing!
Me and my wife dove with Captain Fran at the Dry Salvages in September! I can’t wait to come back and dive this!
Captain Fran is the best!
Happy new year!!!!!
Love from Belgium to the blueWorldTV crew ❤️🎆🎆🎆
Happy new year!!
I wish you a Happy New Year also!
I'm speechless that a ship that size could snap in half. That was so educational, thanks always guys for a beautiful presentation...
Happy New Year...
Yeah, it's hard to believe but the forces that ocean swell can exert on a ship are amazing. If you get waves that are the right wavelength and size, they can do some serious damage.
The opening animation was really interesting. Great addition 👍
Thanks! When there is no footage or still images available for the back story, you have to get creative!
I take the opportunity to tell you how I appreciate your channel, I really enjoy your videos, I send you my greetings from Paris, France🗼🇫🇷
Thank you so much for watching and Happy New Year!
Love seeing local diving and Capt. Fran! Happy New Year!
Captain Fran is the best!!
Beau Travail comme d'habitude🔬🍀🎬Mes voeux les Meilleurs🍾🌌
Very Nice
Great video and thanks for sharing it with us!!
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Your work is just wow 😍😍
But how did you manage to go this much deep in ocean ??
That was the funniest thing with the scorpion fish getting swept over the deck 😂
Im always so excited to see what adventures you're up to! Great video!
This was one of those videos that kept getting pushed off because there were "better" ones (meaning: episodes I liked better) to release first. But now we will find out that the viewers like this one better than the ones I liked!
Exhilarating to watch!
Much thanks for spotlighting an incredible dive site in New England.
Fabulous. Love a good wreck dive.
I had been watching your videos for so long but then I kind of forgot for about six months but I just got recommended your video! I have so much to catch up on!
Welcome back!
Hey Johnathan can you please make a episode of you diving into the Labrador sea?
I have been meaning to try to get up there. Problem is that there isn't a tremendous amount of stuff there, and you need a lot of time to film the things that are there.
@@BlueWorldTV what would happen if you bring a giant clams into the Caribbean sea would it cause the ecosystem to go out of balance well the Caribbean sea has predators that eat giant clams like reef fish eels and starfish
omg ive been trying to find your channel for days now! i used to watch your videos 8 years ago. Now im in my last year of high school, and im planning on pursuing marine biology! You are my biggest inspiration ever! ❤️
Advance Happy Chinese New Year 万事如意!
We shouldn't be that hard to find.
Happy New Year's from New Zealand....
Happy new year!
I hope you have a good start of the new year 2023, Jonathan and all of the blue world family and crew member.
Happy New Year, Jonathan and all of the blue world family and crew member.
Happy New Year Paw Patrol!!
Get your music person to release the music they write because it's beautiful!!! What fun fish!!! And although it's horrid for the crew of the boat, the wreck exploration was fun to watch, & one more thing: my tshirt arrived!!! Cheers so much & may you & yours have a fintastic 2023!!!
Wow, the T-shirt took a while!! Where are you located?? Glad you finally got it! They were shipped like 3 weeks ago.
@@BlueWorldTV Three weeks is pretty standard to cross the Atlantic xxx The tshirt arrived on time for Christmas too so yaiy!!!
Thanks for creating a short segment of what might of happened to the shipwreck from before times.
It's obvious that the fish need a place to hide, as they prefer great reef systems but haven't found much in that area?
I hope someone removes those ship wrecks within our life time.
What sad way to waste away.
Very tainted and sad dwelly.
All those fish that live there are hoping that the wreck stays put!
This is cool! This is great! This is awesome!
Thanks!
"This episode sponsored by Dunkin' Donuts." Really cool dive (and neato animated intro), nice music as always (your OST guy is brilliant), mysterious ruins of a ship... all filmed excellently. thanks Jonathan.
I wish DD was a sponsor!!! Who doesn't love a donut on a dive boat?
Now that was interesting! The shipwrecks and the florida cave dives are my favorites. Maybe I can meet up with yall one day when yall are back in florida.
I have 2 recommendations for diving locations. 1. Cashew ledge, it’s the largest kelp forest in the gulf of Maine and 2. The Amazon river for obvious reasons
Happy New Year!
Happy new year!
happy new year mr bird
Thank you! Happy New Year Josh!!!
Quite scary seeing wrecked ships
Sometimes it's pretty spooky swimming through them too.
@@BlueWorldTV yes even I'm watching just the video give me chills
Top 100 here!
The last wreck I dived was a ship that sank in 1910. Struck rocks, then the boilers exploded while sinking. Two coal shoveler’s were killed. 85 passengers and crew made the 3 miles to shore. It sits at 135ft below the surface and is in very good condition for its age. Cargo was 4500 tons of coal. I love researching shipwrecks, then diving them.
Where is that one?
You should come to Vancouver or Vancouver Island! Best coldwater diving in the world.
I want a short video on just how he takes those amazing camera shots
Cool
Wow over 100 feet of water?? The stern almost 100 feet and the bow almost 200 feet!! I dove down to 50 feet once. Got certified as a PADI Open Water Diver in 2019. And I’m about to turn 17 on January 8th. Awesome video Jonathan!! Incredible footage and storytelling of the wreck. The story reminds me of another similar story about the Edmund Fitzgerald that wave slammed it to the sea floor and broke the ship in half and sank instantly. Have you heard about that story?
That's a very famous one...and the whole crew died.
@@BlueWorldTV in seconds. Do you know if that dive is possible? I personally don’t know how deep the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald is. I can look it up. Has that been a dive you thought of doing before or is it privately owned and people can’t dive there?
One man’s loss is another fishes gain
Happy New Year Everyone
Maybe you, Jonathan Bird, should next time go find the lost city of Atlantis in the Atlatic Ocean.
@BlueWorldTV does the rusted steel from the boat affect the marine life. It doesn't seem so as the amount of life is abundant around the wreck but i would like to know please. Or if someone in the comment section knows the answer to this please comment.... Thank you
Well, things like hydroids don't grow well on the parts that are actively rusting, just because the metal is loose and flakes off. But I don't think the small amount of iron dissolving into the water around the wreck seems to bother the marine life. They still love the reef effect.
Hey Johnathan would would happen if you bring a giant clam to the Caribbean sea?
The Caribbean has predators that eat giant clams like reef fish eels and starfish
Not many things can eat a mature giant clam...so if you brought one of them, I think it would be fine.
@@BlueWorldTV I think you should do that
Do the Zenobia please and it has to be a full tour
The sea raven looked like it was having a great time jumping off the deck hahah. Also a question, at 1:30 you guys are carrying the stage tank by the harness, I got taught not to do that during my course but since you guys are much more experienced divers than I am I'd like to hear your thoughts, thanks!
I never took a course on stage tanks, so I'm probably doing it wrong!
@@BlueWorldTV I guess it happens to the best of us then :) You probably shouldn't do that next time because that can cause the band to slip up the tank and shorten the distance between the boltsnaps.
Great episode either way!
In your opinion, what is the BEST underwater camera for photography that is less than 1000 dollars?
There isn't much you can do under $1K unfortunately. Probably a GoPro with a BigBlue light.
I really enjoy your videos, and I was wondering if underwater filming has some sort of limit for its career life. What is the average career length of an underwater photographer? Thank you.
We will find out!!
7:16 At this point, it's a "sunk."
I see what you did there. Ha! I missed a great dad joke opportunity here to say "at least it's still full of water!"
XD im dead
Amazing. We blame the weatherforecast.
It's the only job where you can be wrong half of the time and you don't get fired! LOL
Hey I went to that high school you motored by… lol been over every square inch of that land 1000 times. Even been out on that breakwater with a girl during a storm. Not the brightest idea
i got OWD course for christmas :)
HOW COOL!!! Congratulations! and have fun!!
The Video is good, buy your voice is overwhelmed by the music and effects. Its very hard to understand you
Hey Brother,
I am a recreational and public safety scuba diver. I want to start a channel. Any advice on what applications you use for video management and uploads? Much appreciated.
4:34 Hydroids? Do those tiny swimless Jellyfish Sting
Technically yes, but they can't hurt people...and the water is cold so we are wearing gloves anyway.
At 9:46 you can see a human skull down in the left of the box structure. Creepy!!
I think that's your imagination.
Did I just see someone tearing a drysuit zipper and loose tank bands?😱
No drysuit zippers were torn. Loose tank bands maybe!
Rough sea conditions that day huh?
When the dive site is local, we pick and choose which day we are diving!!
@@BlueWorldTV you chose wisely!
Bro show us under Indian Ocean
Wait, so coldwater wrasses exist?
Yes, there are species of wrasse all over the place!
Did you know that it’s been 110 years almost 111 and RMS. Titanic’s pool is still filled with water? 😢😮
I would say that's exceptional pool design and construction!
@@BlueWorldTV 😂 same with Britannic’s too
I watch u on epic can u make more vids
I hate your fins 😂😂😂
I have a love/hate relationship with them myself.
😂😂😂. A friend of mine received a set of Force Fins in a tub of dive gear that was given to him. I was so excited to try them out, after about 20 minutes into the dive I would have burned them if it was possible! It was like I had to learn how to kick all over again.
new
Oh drat I so wanted to see the dead body of the guy who died in the sinking ship you were talking about, or maybe he was put in the grave, and zombies aren't real either. I like zombies.
Man, that's kind of morbid!
*Promosm* 🌸
Don’t you’re ears hurt when you’re diving?
Not if you equalize them properly.
I look forward to seeing Jonathan back in the tropics! Sorry.
You and me both!!! 😃
