Thank you for using a measuring cup for your wet ingredients....so many (even on here) don't and don't realize the difference between the dry measuring cups and the liquid.....that said you can use the dry measuring cups for cooking but for baking where things are more precise you shouldn't
Too many people, especially here on RUclips, use a liquid measuring cup for dry ingredients & vice-versa when baking. It drives me nuts. I was taught to never interchange the cups.
I was taught (in Home Economics) to use the different measuring tools for liquids and dry ingredients. If I remember correctly it gives you a different volume. Not for sure on that but I vaguely remember that. It has been over 55 years since I had Home Economics 😂😂😂😂
Honestly, I don't recommend adding cheddar. This recipe started out as a jalapeno cheddar cornbread and there is something about cheddar cheese in cornbread that just didn't work. However, if you have had a cheddar cheese cornbread before and like it, go for it!
@TheSaltedPepper I was thinking since I love cheese and apples as snack it would work. I also do a corn bread that has cream corn, onions, Jared jalapeño and cheddar cheese I love it. Maybe I'll try your recipe but add the cheese to just like a muffin portion, to see how it comes out. Merry Christmas
My favorite apple, the McIntosh, never gets any love 😊 I don't ever think I've seen anyone use it & it's the apple I've always used for everything...especially my apple pies/tarts etc. Maybe it's not as common of an apple in the US outside of New England. My family is definitely going to try this. We'll probably use cider instead of juice. Thank you for the recipe ❤
This sounds delicious, i thought using honey butter. You gave me a great idea to make corn bread with chopped dried apricots, i adore anything with apricots. MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and Jeff and I am excited for next year and many more new recipes. ❤❤❤
Sounds great! Apple juice or apple cider would be great too.

@annpachini2155 yes it's a different volume which is really important when baking cakes/pastries and the like
Sounds and looks delicious. I think I would expirement by adding shredded cheddar cheese.
