I had a 2015 Kia Optima LX. In 2020 a guy ran a stop sign and I hit him broadside, a Honda Pilot SUV at about 45 MPH. It was like hitting a brick wall. 3 airbags went off in my face saving my life. All I had was a bruise over my left eye. The front of my looked like an accordian. It saved my life. The police couldn't believe I walked away from it. That car had 55K and not one problem. What did I buy next ? A 2019 Kia Optima LX. And it comes with many safety features I never had before. When a car saves your live, you buy it again.

Hyundai uses more high strength steel than any other automotive manufacturer, except Volvo. You should extra safe in the newer Optima as well. Enjoy

Wow thats crazy I have same story lol. I had a kia optima 2014 ex and had 90k miles on it but guy ran stop sign and hit me as well. My car ended up being a total loss so now today im getting the 2020 kia optima lx so excited. The guy that hit me had more damage lol my kia took that hit very well surprisingly. He was going about 35 passing the stop sign I was so mad.
