I love healthy honest discussions about real life situations. It's good to hear a Pastor and 1st lady speak that real!!!!
Deitrick makes a good point about the importance of a woman not living in fantasy. This is the stuff of stories that you hear of women who wait years on an ex to “come back around” bc this is what you see in Hollywood movies. And then you wake up & year have literally passed you by. Women’s imaginations often work against them/us. I’m in my mid 40s and this is something that I learned the hard way. Facts!🌟💯

Different strokes for different folks. I hear you U2. I married at the age of 23 yrs ole and my wife was 29 yrs ole and with a child, 4 yrs ole and divorced. we're going on 31 yrs now.
I love how they can be Christians with a sense of humor and have fun and talk about subjects not in the bible

It depends on the person and the maturity when it comes to marriage. I was 19 years old when I married. Now 42.
Been with my husband 23 years all together 26 years. We have not by any means have had the perfect marriage but a good one. Yet I agree there is a such thing as marrying to young. I love y'all honesty. Dominique I felt you girl when you said didn't take that trash out hallelujah!!! I know what you're talking about!!! It's the little things that goes a long way with a good woman.

Gosh I love you all so much! Deitrick is hilarious and Dominique you're so wise and I love how yall keep it real. This was real good. I'm not married but I'm looking forward to marriage. I'm gonna be 25 in June and I have so much to accomplish before that step.
I was sheltered like Deitrick as a Pastor kid but I think it's a bit different with the guys. They feel pressured to follow their dad's path. Anyway, as someone who is new to a healthy, loving and stable relationship, I feel nervous at times even though I love the guy a lot. Sometimes I just panic a bit but I don't want to ruin something good. Do you think this means I'm not ready for a relationship?

Dominique is SPEAKING! My husband and I have been married for 9 years and have recently welcomed our second child, and my husband and I struggle with 1sex drive 2 balancing our children & household. Like you said I am an over thinker, so it’s a challenge to “give my body” when there’s a lot of stuff going on. Lol
