    I know its an old video but i see the Libelle is still available, so this must be a great DLG to stand the test of time, where other low cost ones become discontinued.
    Speaking of which, the HS-35HD Ultra Nano Servos that it is paired with are no longer available these days 2024.
    What would be the equivilent one would use these days, being everything become digital?

    why not make it with the wing further back and a smaller battery near the cg to avoid altitude loss after throw? correct if im wrong

    Looks good but it appears that people are only giving a mediocre throw. Is it fragile that you are worried it will break on a normal DLG throw ?

      Yeah it won't take a 100% launch like a composite DLG.

    Pretty cool. I take it the battery is a nimh, around a 4.8v 200 to 300 mah. Wondering what type of charger is used?

      +Scott Ewers Yep your correct about the battery and most decent lipo battery charges will be able to charge that battery,good RC/lipo battery charges come with an array of functions these days,one being they can charge most battery types out here,including NiMH,NiCd,lead acid/PB,lipo and the list can go on,even the cheaper ones will do most of what i just put in that list.
      Happy flying.

    I'm not sure I see the need for a servo on the ailerons for a learner glider.

      it's more than just a learner glider, it's a glider for all skill levels. ailerons give you the ability for flaperons which aid in thermal hunting.

    $400?? why

    • @llamont2336
      @llamont2336 4 года назад +1

      Because of the materials used...most are carbon fiber (wing and fuselage).
